Tasty food, tired location

The food was good. Steamed buns etc. Really nice stuff.
The location badly needs updating. Tatty materials, mismatching tableware, old fashioned decor. Feels like it hasn't been updated in the last 30 years.
Massive interior. You WILL get a table.
HUGE and full of locals

We happened upon this place whilst out exploring along Nathan Road. It is absolutely massive and full of locals eating tasty food. The floor we were on had dim sum trolleys walking around as well as having tick box menus and a counter for deserts.
The food was good and service quick but the best thing about the place is the people watching. This is clearly a place loved by locals of all ages, from business people on their lunch break, to pensioners and families. It's not fancy but the food and atmosphere is great.
Tasty dim sum for breakfast

The restaurant was huge with plenty of seats. Dim sum was served in push carts. Good selection of dim sum. The usual hakow, siew mai, cheong fun and porridge. The more traditional sweet desserts were also available. The must try was the steamed coconut milk pudding. Really good. The porridge was very good. Service was fast and friendly.
Fab food - excellent service

Can't praise this place enough. Menu provided excellent choices. One of our party wanted to change one of the dishes on the menu, this wasn't a problem, the head waiter made good suggestions. The food when it arrived was hot and delicious. The drinks menu was great and each drink was served well.
Enjoyable and interactive dinner, as always

We dined in the London Restaurant for our "Chan Family Feast" annually celebrated and entertained on the 24th of June (Saturday). We were treated to a big room with karaoke supplies and a big space for people to relax and sing beautiful songs before or during their feast. Personally, I sang lots of different Chinese songs before and during the feast. It was definitely a lot of fun and engaging for everyone who participated in the karaoke night!
The food was excellent, and the taste of the first dish- the pork brasket, was already excellently made, crispy, fresh and not as 'fat' while compared to other pork braskets. The other dishes- including the chicken, shark fin soup, vegetables, fish and the fried rice- were generally well made, delicious and definitely deserves a high rating. The food was also nicely presented and decorated to suit everyone's taste prior to eating.
The service was very good. Waiters treat everyone in the room nicely, courteously and proactively replace your plates when your plate is already dirty. They also communicated fluently with us and also praised us on our singing skills during the feast, which is to be commended in the 'service' mark.
The ambience was very good, where the restaurant offered ample amount of space for us to rewind in the restaurant while giving us the facilities and room to sing loudly. This gives the opportunity for all of us to enjoy the night while enjoying the delicious food served and prepared by experienced chefs. Again, to be commended and praised at.
The price of the overall meal was relatively cheap to everything that can all be reflected in the entire meal process- including the engaging 'karaoke' facilities to keep everyone engaged at singing, the delicious food, the brilliant service and the big space that we were offered in this feast. The restaurant definitely deserves a high rating as reflected from this meal with a 5-star TripAdvisor rating. Well Done!
