Wonderful location but....

The location of the hotel is breath taking and the private beach makes it even more unique.
At our arrival, the staff was very attentive and nice.
The structure looks a little bit run down, you can see the rust staining the white of the wall inside and outside, the bottom of the pool was peeling off, the chairs were damaged, it seemed that it needed a good touch up.
The room were quite small but I don't think it's a problem especially because you want to stay outside at the pool or at the beach.
The quality of the doors was poor, you could only slam the door in order to close it so you could hear lots of noise.
The room was not very clean, the bedspread was dirty and so the headboard.
We had a late lunch at the restaurant and even thought the service was a little slow, I have to say that the food was really delicious. Like, really good.
I was surprised when I was told that the place was only 5 years old, I don't think they ever done any sort of maintenance and for a place right on the sea, it needs to be done every year.
It could honestly be a piece of paradise but it needs to be taken to the next level.
Not a bed experience overall but there is a lot of work to do in order to claim 4 stars.
Private and quiet

This small hotel is lovely, private and quiet, perfect if you are looking for a relaxing seaside vacation. The room we had was a bit small and did not overlook the sea but was still comfortable, clean and equipped with pretty much everything you need. The outside is well maintained and has pool side or beach beds and umbrellas. The beach is rocky. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is perfect for relaxing and resting, it is not the place for partying. There were a few couples with very young children but it is not a place I would recommend for children or teenager as it is kind of isolated and there is not much to do. We chose the half board option and it was well worth. The restaurant served very good local cousine with a choice of appetizer, first course(pasta), second course and fruit or dessert. Overall a very good experience!
Spectacular

Had a great 5 days with great service, helpful staff and with a spectacular seaview
It's a must to have a room with sea view. Back rooms are over looking the back where one can find a nice HOT jacuzzi that can be used at night also.
Breakfast is a small but enough, lunch on your sunbed over looking the sea is a must too. A great big thank you to Elona & Luciano for the full service we were provided with.
Stunning!!

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 4 nights only returning home yesterday.
We came to mattinata for our friends wedding and to relax.
I never write reviews but feel that after reading so many negative ones on here felt that I should.
The hotel is stunning. Very pretty, very shabby chic, very clean and light.
The staff are so kind, very friendly, very helpful and THEY CAN SPEAK ENGLISH! Not all of the staff no. But we are in Italy and it's very ignorant to expect Italians to be fluent in English! My opinion.
I suffer from a nut allergy and they helped explain the foods I could and couldn't eat daily.
We had a sea view room that was gorgeous. Very very clean, and plenty big enough for 2 people to ultimately sleep and get ready in.
The views are stunning. It's such a pretty well thought out hotel.
Pool area was again so clean, very stylish and well thought out.
Plenty of space, lovely and quiet.
I would say I personally wouldn't take my children here but only because it's very quiet and feel they would need more.
The beach area that is private to la casa is so nice and the sun beds were so comfortable.
Food was lovely. We only had breakfast and lunch here as we were out every night and both were great.
Lunch was a little pricey compared to some places to eat in mattinata but it was so nice and beautifully presented.
There was a wedding here during our stay.
After reading the reviews my husband and I were dreading it!
Do you know what! We never woke up once! I'm the lightest sleeper ever and was not disturbed at all.
We have been to many hotels in the world and I have extremely high standards.
This hotel is a little gem and I would highly recommend it.
Perfect for a visit to the Gargano

The hotel is well situated to visit the major attractions in the neighbourhood: Monte Sant'Angelo, Foresta Umbra, Vieste, the port to rent a small boat for a half or full day...
The rooms were very small. We were lucky to have a sea side view but there are rooms on the back if the hotel without any views...
Nice swimming pool area and private beach.
The reception staff was friendly but other staff members had some difficulties to smile. They looked quite unhappy and did not exhale happiness or joy. Sometimes they were even rude. We prefer the atmosphere of a b&b or argriturismo in Italy.
Breakfast was ok, dinner was really nice!
Overpriced for the service you get in return.
