There are lots of small shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of most of the hotels. It has a long beach line that is kept clean and rolled and a promenade that is immaculate. It is all on a level and Villamoura is a steady 30 minute stroll away. The bus station is in the centre and you can get a bus anywhere at a reasonable price and a good frequency. Quarteira is a brilliant place to be based for travel or relaxation as it has everything you need, is safe and quiet.

Had a great week at this hotel .twin sea view was great .also had a sauna which was great.reception staff very good especially the new lad who only been there a week .other staff good too .cleaner we had was great gave us xtra pillow as it was like sleeping on air bags .cleaner done great job lovely girl .pool was great aswell .very quiet place quarteira .but loved it .breakfast was nice also .would recommend this hotel .but get sea view worth paying more when booking .beach was brilliant had a great time in there .plenty snack bars and restaurants .beware if you go to restaurant end of the beach near football pitch .the owner brought out bread and cheese before we ordered our meal .which we didn't ask for .then charged us an extra 16 euros for it .apart from that great holiday .Great hotel and friendly people .thanks quarteira sol for a great holiday x

Arrived for a four night stay and was immediatley greeted by a stuffy room with only one working plug socket. I switched on the air con with hope that the room would quickly cool down but soon realised it was not working, I went to reception to report the issue and was given a remote control which made no diffference to the function of the air conditioning, returning to reception I was toid a technician would visit while I was out. A day went by and another day, with me speaking to a number of reception staff (one saying they knew it didnt work but couldn't change me rooms as there was none available, I knew this was untrue as I was able to enquire about booking a roomn online myself. Another said if I threatened the manager with putting up a bad reveiw on here he would be more likely to help. They were getting a bad review regardless!
On checking out after a very long 4 days and nights, I was met at reception by staff advising I owed money for drinks on my room. This was incorrect as I had not used hotel services at all. I told them this and a lady behind the desk said 'if you don't believe you have had those then its okay', which makes me believe they were trying to con money out of guests rather than making an honest mistake.
All in all, I would not advise to stay here unless you have very low expectations of standards and customer service.

Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. Recently refurbished so the room was nice. Paid extra for sea view but wasted our money. No balcony and another hotel between us and sea so not much to see. Pool area tired and pool bar was closed the whole stay. Hotel is short walk to very nice beach. Although the prom area is being improved it still has a long way to go so may be a better resort in a couple of years. Town very run down when you move away from front. On the plus side the hotel is very near the bus station so easy to travel to other resorts. We also walked easily to Vilamoura. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Only ate once in restaurant for breakfast and was nice.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We had bedroom on the sixth floor with a small balcony and a sea view. The room was clean and had everything we required. Towels were changed and room cleaned daily. Toiletries are provided and hairdryer was one of the best in any hotel I have stayed.
Breakfast provided Yoghurt, cereal and fruit. Bacon, eggs, beans and mushrooms were the hot choice. Plenty of bread choices.
NOTE TO MANAGEMENT- The pool area is very pleasant but needs to be cleaned up, this is my only fault with this hotel.
