Spent an overnight here here when touring in the French Alps out-of-season (early October). Accommodation a bit basic, with no lift and, for us, two flights of stairs with our luggage. Only saving grace was a comfy bed. We both chose lamb chops for main course with the evening meal, which were inedible. Should have been grilled, but were pan-fried, clearly at too low a temperature, and were fatty, tough, and almost raw. Surprising in a village with sheep pasture close by. Think twice about taking the road up to the Col de l'Isoard itself, especially from the southern end where this Hotel/ ski chalet is situated. It is without doubt one of the most dangerous ascents in the alps. You need a 4x4 and nerves of steel.

This was a little out of the way for our journey but we chose it as it looked interesting with a good restaurant. We were not disappointed and would choose this hotel again. The room was exactly as expected, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was superb with helpful staff, a good choice of reasonably priced wine, and wonderfully prepared food.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It is quite charming and rustic. My room was large, complete with a substantial double bed and bunk beds for kids. The room also had a dining table and was equipped with cooking facilities. The balcony, with a small table and two comfortable chairs overlooked the swimming pool (indoor & outdoor, heated), garden and the valley. Very peasant. The restaurant served a good dinner and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. The owner was pleasant and helpful. My only small criticism was the waiting and bar staff. They needed more training. The hotel is right by the ski slopes. The bar and restaurant are not cheap.

Absolutely lovely place to stay - more traditional than modern-style chalet hotel. Stayed with our 2 young boys - they had their own cubicle and loved it. Food was marvelous - with generous portions for half board and the service was friendly. We shall make sure we stop over again on our travels in the region!

If you're looking for a hotel on the Route des Grandes Alpes, look no further! This converted, extended farm building is very pleasant, but what makes it great is the welcome, the food, the location, the scenery and the peace & quiet. Plus the heated pool is very good, too. We've visited it twice now and will certainly go again.
