I found La Gaffe on booking.com, looking for a quiet place where to spend some days with a friend in London away from crowded spots. I have to say it exceed my already high expectations! The inn is situated just 5 minutes from the subway station making it super easy to join central London while enjoying the quiet and soaking In the landscape of Hampstead Heath. Breakfast is pretty simple but delicious and has all you could ask for. Room is quite small But very cozy and seriously one of the most silent rooms I have ever stayed in. A special note to the kindness of Lorenzo and all the staff. Will definitely stay there next time I am In London!

This hotel is a gem with a great restaurant. Very reasonably priced with good wine selection. The breakfast was very plentiful with lovely fresh rolls, ham and cheeses and excellent fresh coffee was served.
Being female and staying alone on the second visit, I particularly liked the fact that I felt safe. The wine bar area is welcoming to single travellers.The owners are lovely and very welcoming and the hotel is a 4 min walk up the main road from Hampstead tube station. Would thoroughly recommend.

La Gaffe is 5 minutes walk up a winding hill from Hampstead Tube station on the Northern Line. It's also on the local bus route. Five minutes walk from the great green spread of Hampstead Heath, this is a great location to venture out for a picnic or just to explore the woods and vales. All the local shops and banks are on its doorstep. The food is highly recommended and the staff are bright and friendly. If the rooms are small it adds to their charm and they are clean and well-maintained. Hampstead Observatory is nearby and so is the cinema.But it is the hotel's atmosphere and character that will seal the deal and have you coming back. Enjoy your stay.

The rooms were well kept and clean, the breakfast was continental but they offered a nice selection of coffee each morning. The location was absolutely stunning and the staff very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I visited England earlier this month (Sept 2017) We stayed at La Gaffe and i wish it had been longer. The proprietor was very welcoming and happy to give two tired travellors a lovely latte coffee. We had dinner that evening which was delicious and a lovely breakfast the following morning. Our bags were carried up to our room for us all done with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel. It has everything needed for a pleasant visit.
