WOW! This farmhouse was everything my family was looking for after a busy 10-day cruise on the Adriatic. Located in the countryside of Emilia-Romagna near the town of Cento about an hour north of Bologna. Our host Barbara was terrific and the breakfast served each morning was divine- fresh eggs, meats and cheeses and delicious cappuccinos! The grounds were beautiful and our son loved playing in the pool.

We had a wonderful stay at Lepre Bianca.
The location is great. Unlike many agriturismos it manages to give you that "away from it all" feeling while being easily accessible and not too cut off. The agriturisumo itself is on a quiet road so extremely peaceful. Yet it is only around 20 minutes walk to Renazzo, the nearest town / village, which has shops, a couple of bars and a few restaurants. And around a 5 minutes drive to the historical town of Cento. It's also not far from Bologna, Modena, Ferrara etc should you want to venture out and about.
The property itself has been restored to a very high standard. We had a double room with garden, which was well appointed with traditional features and good AC. The garden is really for pets, and so we didn't use it much. There are a variety of rooms, including some family rooms and features rooms with a sauna.
The main outdoor area is lovely, with a pool and tables so you can dine al fresco, as well as a smattering of garden funiture.
The food was absolutely outstanding at lunch and dinner. Some of the best we have had in Italy.
And Barbara and her team are wonderful hosts. They have put together a really special place. As others have said, it's a bit of a hidden gem in the lesser travelled region of Emilia-Romagna.

We stayed here for two nights in August. Everything was managed so well and the service we received was second to none! As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, and we had two friends staying there as well who we had supper with at the villa that night - the food and drinks were wonderful and we spent a long relaxed evening sitting having a wonderful meal by the pool. Breakfast was delicious - all fresh produce etc. - and the rooms were really comfortable with stunning views (ours even had a sauna in it!). We spent the days exploring nearby towns, but felt very comfortable coming back to the agriturismo every evening. Private parking was also a bonus.
Even more impressive, my partner left three shirts hanging in the wardrobe after we left and the host was incredibly helpful in getting them sent back to the UK for us, even 3 months later after I'd forgotten to email her! Endlessly helpful and really personal service. I can't recommend this place enough.

Highly recommend!! We (2 couples) stayed for 2 nights in July. We found La Lepre Bianca on the internet. Looking for a place to stay in the area where my grandparents had immigrated from.
The weather was very hot, but the AC in our rooms worked well, and we were very comfortable. Free wifi. Our rooms (201 & 202 I think?) and bathrooms were spacious, clean, and charming! The in-ground pool was clean and refreshing, and has a lovely patio and garden.
Location is quiet, just outside the town of Cento (which is small, but old and charming). Beautiful, tree-lined road coming south from Alberone. Quick and easy to get to Bologna & Modena too.
And finally, when checking out, Barbara sent us off with a complimentary liter bottle of Lambrusco wine to have in the car "in case we got thirsty" on our drive to Lake Como! They sure don't do that here in the U.S.!!! Very nice surprise!

We stayed at this lovely location for 4 nights. It's situated between Bologna and Ferrara. I guess a region that is less known and visited by tourists. Emilia-Romagna is nevertheless a region worthwhile: great kitchen, beautiful and interesting cities (Bologna - a must!, Modena, Ferrara, Parma, Ravenna), quiet and calm.
Agriturismo La Lepre Bianca is really great!! Hostess Barbara is very kind and helpful. Everything is very nice and beautiful. Our room (junior suite) was very clean and real large. The bathroom is outstanding: fantastic shower! There's wifi and airco! Original swimming pool, but rather small.
The restaurant is excellent: we had dinner every evening and were never disappointed! What a great cook! And a correct and fair price!
The hosts are very hospitable and warmly, they really make efforts to make you feel comfortable. La Lepre Bianca is really recommended when you want to visit this region. You won't regret it, neither did we!
