The apt and the complex were better than expected. Although there are 34 units [mostly full] in the complex it was like we were the only people here. The beautiful infinity pool was almost exclusively ours.
Our deck looked over the harbor onto a quiet marina and a few quaint houses.
Well situated just outside of Jan Theil Beach, this is a great place to stay while in Curcaco.

The couple who run the appartments are very nice and helpful. They gladly help with booking of hire cars and trips and gives advice on the best restaurants in the area. We arrived at midnight but there was no problems to check in despite that the receptions is not open that late. The kitchen was very well equipped with for instance a washing machine that we really appreciated. The groceries we had ordered was in place when we arrived (our experience from another hotel in the Island was that they had forgotten to delivery the groceries). The apartment was very nice overlooking a small harbour. Unfortunately you cannot go swimming in the water outside the hotel and if you want to swim and go snorkling in the ocean you need to hire a car or go by taxi .

We have spend 10 perfect days in apartment 8B, with phenomenal view over the Spanish water of Brakkeput and were very pleased with the nice and lovely attention of Jolanda and Feico, who run the business since 6 months, with lots of love and dedication.
Quiet location with spectacular sunsets and beautiful garden and swimming pool.

The apartments were really big, nice and clean. A lady came to clean the apartment every day with clean towels as well. The area was nice and calm, really good for relaxing, we had an apartment close to the small pool, and we were the only one using it, so it seemed like we had a private pool :) Not the worst thing.
A big spacious terraces with a nice view.
The apartment had anything you need, even washing and drying machines.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. If you want a nice place for relaxing, this is the place. Highly recommended.
Note that this is not so close beaches, you will most likely need to rent a car to go to the good beaches. We got a better prices for renting a car at the hotel than at the airport.

We stayed in Unit 1A for 8 days (September 10 -17, 2016)and we were rewarded with a wonderful 3 bedroom apartment that was clean, fully equipped, and QUIET. The provisions were definitely worth the purchase as we enjoyed having breakfast and snack on our patio which offered a ton of privacy from the other units. This is a small and gated property which made us feel safe and secure. Make sure to download the Maps.Me app and add Curacao as a file before you arrive; it will serve you well for offline directions even for hiking! The managers of the property are very helpful in assisting with suggestions of where to go and what to do. Additionally, they were very responsive to quirky little maintenance issues and resolved them immediately. A car rental is a must if you want to explore. We travel frequently and don't often return to the same place twice. If we were to Return to Curacao, we would definitely stay at La Maya again! And we will certainly recommend it to anyone asking.
