Folks - you would do well to visit this beautiful lodge complete with swimming pool and lovely surroundings. It's also close to some gorgeous, un spoilt beaches and 20 minutes drive to Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve, numerous attractions and restaurants. Great value and memorable place.

Beautiful resort in acres and acres of tropical forest with waterfalls and an enormous variety of animals. The moths are spectacular. Although far from the crowded tourist spots, it is near the beach so you can choose whether to spend the day at the beach or meandering through the forests. The rooms were very clean and the staff were excellent, always willing to help. Breakfasts were of a good size, never went hungry. Can't wait to go back there.

Surrounded by immaculate gardens with exotic plants, in bungalow that was well kept and clean, staff very helpful, breakfast and dinner delicious, easy access to many private beaches, all these has make a wonderful 7 days stay in La PaLapa and I look forward to and would visit again.

Had a wonderful three day stay. Grounds are lovely. Found Manuel the owner interesting, friendly and very accommodating.
He invited me to a local bar to watch football and have a beer.

We stayed in a cabin with full cooking facilities and a fridge but ate our meals at the resort. Breakfasts were generous and the dinners which had to be pre-ordered by 4 PM were very satisfying. There are lots of birds on the property and along the trails on the hillside and along the river. The waterfall pool a short walk up the road is a great place to cool off or just relax in the swimming pool. This location is centrally located and near a variety of activities and places offering guided tours or experiences like zip-lining.
