The host was very kind.
She quickly switched my room when the first one smelled like smoke. But it was too close to the street, loud with the window open, sparse. The bed wasn't comfortable.
Too many pieces of furniture in the small room.
Comfortable hotel

Unpretentious hotel on the way to Murica. Competent and approachable staff. Clean rooms including the ensuite. A bar/café, restaurant and pizzeria next door selling palatable fare. Private parking belonging to the hotel about 50m away in a locked building site.
Fabulous little hotel,, great for a short stay

This is a great small hotel and is located on the main street through the town. The GPS can not find the address but if you search for the international restaurant in the town the hotel is right next door. They have limited parking in front but lots of
easy street parking if you need it.
The hotel is so so clean and the people, a family, that run it are wonderful. They do not speak much English but are willing to try to help one. The rooms are average size with a wonderful bathroom Again everything is so clean. The beds are fine the pillows a little hard. The towels are great and there are lots of them. The bathroom has shampoo and soaps etc. They are lots of plugs for your devices and a nice TV. The WIFI is great and was easy to hook up to.
The breakfast was wonderful for the 3.00 Euro charge much more then I have gotten for a 14 Eruo buffet. Unlimited tea or coffee.
All and all this is very much worth the money, very inexpensive etc. I have stayed at 3 star hotels which do not come up to this standard.
Clean, friendly and a nice location

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights while we visited our newly-bought (but not yet habitable) house in a nearby town.
It's very easy to find, just outside the main town centre, with on-street parking right outside and all up the street.
It's rather quaint, with framed cross-stitches in the slightly old-fashioned entrance hall. We were met when we entered by a rather old lady who called her daughter down to deal with check-in. It seems to be a family business, with the older couple generally to be found in the little sitting-room (private) just inside the front door and their daughter dealing with guests. She was very friendly and welcoming.
Our room was clean, a very good size (2 single beds, a wardrobe, easy chair, harder chair and table, bedside tables, TV, telephone, and AC (which didn't seem to work but might not have been switched on as it was September). The bathroom was clean, with a good-sized bath, shower with good water pressure and easy temperature control. Soap and shower gel were provided, along with 2 glasses.
We elected to have an "interior" room rather than one on the street, as we thought there might be traffic noise out front. However, with hindsight, I'd probably pick one on the street instead - some of those room had little balconies.
It was only a 5-minute walk to the main street with plenty of cafes and other shops (though we didn't spend much time there). It's also only a 15-minute walk away from a highly recommended bar and tapas place (Cerverceria Torre del Oro) which is definitely worth a visit.
There didn't appear to be a curfew time - the front door was unlocked each time we came home, though we didn't get back after midnight. There was always someone around to say "Hola!" when we got in, which was good as guests are encouraged to leave their room key when they go out, but they're simply hung on a key-rack in the main entrance hall, so would be rather easy for someone to just wander in and take keys if it was unattended.
It was great value. It cost €25.50 a night (per room).
If you're visiting Archena, or the surrounding area in the Ricote Valley, it's a great, cheap, friendly place to stay. Oh, and there's free WiFi which actually works!

We enjoyed our short stay in this one star hotel, it offered good value for money, clean, comfortable beds and very helpful staff, plus free car parking
Well situated for visiting other towns, recommend Blanca
