I was not impressed with this place. I booked it for business travel because they said that they had a hot/fresh breakfast available every morning and I figured that would be so convenient.
I arrived at approx. 10 pm on a Monday night. I had to actually CALL the hotel on my cell phone to get someone to come the front desk to check me in. Not that I didn't ring their stupid bell and called out Hello? several times. turns out the person was around the corner - not sure why didn't hear me?
the room was clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff actually left me a bag of chips and a bottle of water, which was well appreciated.
so the following morning I get ready for breakfast. I get down there and it's powdered scrambled eggs and some kind of gross turkey bacon. thank god for the waffle iron.

Dirty room and bathroom, tub was dirty, used tissue on bathroom floor, black mold in gaping crack in wall, smelled like mildew, not a "retro" room, this was old and dirty with no updates since the 70s, not careworn. Plugs overloaded. First room smelled like cigarettes, no answer when I called front desk to change. Had to go in person.

La Quinta is one of my top choices to stay during vacations. I've never had any problems until I stayed at this hotel. They only had a smoking room so I took it. The room smelled (which I expected, but that was the least of my concerns). Huge spider on the wall, wall paper peeling off, gunk all around the baseboards, cracks on the walls & ceilings, trash in the can, and cigarettes in the ashtray. Pillows reeked of smoke so I assume those aren't washed and also the furniture was plain disgusting. Overall, this stay was a complete disappointment. Additionally the staff was rude and did not want to accept my promo code even though it would take it online. For a $90 stay I expected much better. I spoke to the manager and got a refund of $11. Oh boy!! Needless to say, don't waste your money.

When one pays for accommodation one expects a minimal of quality , cleanliness , hospitality and courtesy . This place offered none. The clerk working Sunday afternoon displayed the most vile contemptible attitude you would get at the dmv or post office. Seems she had a fantasy of a completely vacant hotel and was determined to do everything possible including losing my reservation to make it happen . She needs to get the pate out of there. This was my last la Quinta stay

although the hotel was planning to close in about a week ,the facility was kept in proper condition and cleanliness. They did not scrimp. In the future, carefully study drapery treatment in connection with the location of the AC unit. The present arrangement trapped discharge behind the drape and caused them to billow. We fixed the condition by weighing down the bottom of the drape onto the top of the unit, behind the discharge grille. Had we not done so, the room would have been cold and room privacy compromised.
