We stayed here before sailing out of Port of Miami on a cruise. I'm not usually a LaQuinta type of gal, but they offered free parking for the entire week, free breakfast and free shuttle service to the port in the morning. That is a deal that is hard to pass up. The room was nothing special of course but it was clean, as was the bathroom. There is no restaurant in this hotel, but you can walk across the parking lot to the hotel next door (forget the name) and get dinner and a drink, which we did. If you want the shuttle to pick you up after the cruise to bring you back to the hotel the cost is $10 per person.

I was reading previous reviews and was sorry others didn't have good reviews. We,
however did. I felt the rate was reasonable for leaving our car for 5 days. They also
provided a free shuttle to take us to the Port of Miami. They do provide return transportation for $10.00 pp if you pay in advance and are at the waiting spot on time.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Our only problem was our GPS wasn't updated and we were within a block of the hotel but couldn't find it. I called and they directed us right in. They are near the airport but only occasionally did we hear a plane go over and not during the night. Also we ordered a pizza upon their recommendation and it was delivered directly to our room. Traffic can be a problem
in Miami.

The check in staff was great, very helpful and welcoming. Shower in our room barely trickled out. I reported the problem but the staff was less than helpful. By the way if you have status with La Quinta Inn, it is not acknowledged at this location. No welcome gift or verbal acknowledgment.

We were returning from my mother's funeral and chose La Quinta as we waited for our connecting flight. We waited for half an hour at the airport. After calling several times about the shuttle, we were told that the driver was running late. We arrived at the hotel, and Destine checked us in. She was friendly and courteous. We were checked in to the double room as booked. The lights in the bathroom and the foyer were not working. We proceeded to call the front desk, but no one answered. I went down to the front desk, and was told that another double room was not available because the hotel was doing maintenance. I was offered a king and a roll away bed. I was told that the driver will bring the roll away bed when he returned. AT 1030pm the bed did not arrive. I sent my son down to the desk, because once again no one answered the front desk phone. My son returned with the roll away bed. WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SERVICE THAT WAS NOT PROVIDED?

I believe that this hotel is too expensive for what is offered. I will stay elsewhere next time. I am a military spouse and can not afford to pay more than I was quoted of 79 per night. Very upset. Regards.
