What People are saying

Hair in the drain.

jameshh1975 on 12/10/2017 20:26

This is an older hotel but looked good enough to me to stay there for a couple of night. I was traveling alone and I was in town for a football game. I wasn't planning to spending must time in the room. When I walked in the room, I saw roaches on the bed. Then when I went into to bathroom, there was hair in bath tub drain. I could not stay there. I immediately when to the front desk and checked out. Unfortunately, the on duty front desk rep was very understanding and didn't charge me for the either night.

Great Facility

We were visiting my daughter and her husband for 1 night. We needed a pet friendly hotel. It was perfect for our family. Clean, easy to walk the dog, and staff was great. Would highly recommend. The price was great too.

Bad Bad Bad

I would not recommend this property to anyone. This property is definitely not one that is rated for the price I paid for it. The room was less than what you would expect to pay for a room value. Breakfast was terrible and the bread was molded in the package. There were not enough places to sit to eat either.

Neither attractive nor clean hotel

Don't stay. Feels like a cheap motel. It feels old, unkept, and not maintained. Beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was small, and shower leaked even when closed. Service was friendly, accurate, and nice. Too bad the premises did not go along the quality of service provided.

Disgusting!!! Stay away!!!

DISGUSTING!!! Stay away!!! We will NEVER stay at this La Quinta Inn Baton Rouge University area location again. Disgusting is the only word that comes to mind. I would give it negative points if possible, it was SO bad! Not only did we have booking issues, there were ROACHES in the first room we were assigned, the rooms smelled moldy, and the front desk employee presented extremely poor customer service. I made an instant hold for a room on the La Quinta app. I then called this particular location's front desk to confirm my hold. In speaking with Noelle and explaining we wouldn't arrive until at least midnight or later, she said she put my name on the room and added a note not to cancel due to late arrival, that way we would still have the room set when we checked in. Upon arriving at 1:15 AM, the check in process was disappointing and below expected standards. I should have just walked out and found a different place upon first word with the front desk employee. After searching for some time, the lady (I cannot remember her name, but is started with "C" I believe) at the desk told me that we no longer had a reservation anymore even though Noelle added that note, since we checked in after midnight. According to the front desk lady, rooms are cancelled if not checked in by nightlight and Noelle doesn't know the rules because she only works days.... (Awesome excuse...not really) It then took 30 minutes for her to finally get us checked in and into a room. Upon entering the first room, there were 2 ROACHES on the table light and dresser to greet us. The smell of mold was very strong. I then walked through the dark back to the front desk to get a different room and/or a discount. To think I was paying $125 for this disgusting room is atrocious! There was no apology from the front desk lady or even any acknowledgment of the disgustingness of the ROACHES or the inconvenience it has caused us as 1:30AM after being in the car for 15 hours. She just gave me the key cards to a different room number and said to leave the key cards for the first room in the first room and to call her when we were out. The second room at least didn't have ROACHES, but still had a very musty, moldy smell. At least the AC worked. It is cringe worthy to think we paid $125 for this disgusting room. I will never be staying at this place again, nor will we advise anyone too consider them. Very disappointing stay at La Quinta Inn Baton Rouge University area.
