What a great family run hotel. Went for dinner one night while staying at the Gran Hotel Dino(worst hotel in town and over rated). The food was excellent and the service was outstanding . The staff helped a lot to accomodate my father who is disabled. Unique Location and view.
Next time I'll also stay in the hotel

We received a very friendly and welcoming reception - including our dog! La Ripa is a little "olde worlde" but everything looks well maintained and all the facilities worked as they should. The views of the lake and islands and from the terrace restaurant are superb with no road in the way as is often the case. In fact you are protected from the slightly noisy lakeside road by the corridor outside the rooms. Secure parking just across the road is convenient and within 100 metres max you are on the lakeside promenade that gives a pleasant stroll into Baveno town. We didn't have time to sample the lake ferry trips available from there unfortunately.
The half-board dinner was perfectly acceptable although not outstanding - maybe it would have been better to go a la carte - but then it would probably have been more expensive and you definitely pay for what is an excellent location.

A thoroughly relaxing time spent in this lovely family run hotel with its own beach on the lake. Amazing views from our room . Very comfortable and clean and friendly service. Great, delicious food in the restaurant!!

A family owned hotel, not cookie cutter. Very friendly, great hospitality. We had dinner at the hotel, it was very good and fairly priced. Swimming in the lake. Room was clean, we had great view of the lake. Bed was firm, just the way we like it. We had a great sleep and a great stay. Walking distance to the town center. Bottom line, good location, nice rooms, great hospitality, good value.

We recently spent a long weekend at this wonderful hotel & restaurant. The view from both our room & restaurant of Lake Maggiore were breathtaking.
The property has been owned by the same family for nearly 200 years and the hotel is run by a descendant in a very much hands on approach. All of the staff are magnificent and will always help.
The restaurant was excellent and to dine overlooking a lake is marvellous.
DO NOT LET THIS PLACE SLIP THROUGH THE NET!
Cannot wait to return
