What People are saying

Nice quiet place to stay near Atlantic City

RandyRoss on 13/11/2017 01:45

This resort was very quiet and peaceful. We only had a studio but it had a microwave, stove top, dishwasher, dishes, etc and a nice island with 3 stools, plus the couch, chair and queen bed. We stayed for a week and had fresh towels every day and a change of bedding on the Tuesday. Free (and good) coffee is available every morning, as are current newspapers. There is a nice exercise room and a lounge.
As it was November, the pool was closed and the beach too cold for swimming. However, this was a great base for seeing this part of New Jersey. There are free shuttles to the casinos but we are not gamblers, so did not use them. The bed was comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful, insofar as we needed them (not much).
Recommend the "Pirate's Den" restaurant.

Clean, nicely decorated, but "paper thin" walls

yaffaMaryland on 12/11/2017 23:06

We just returned from a weekend in Brigantine Beach, New Jersey. The hotel was modern and clean, but, unfortunately, the walls were so thin that we heard (clearly, not muffled) the conversations from the rooms on both sides of us! Both nights we could hear talking until nearly midnight. We value our privacy, and if we could hear them, we had to assume that they also could hear us. This made us very uncomfortable and caused us to cut short our stay. The staff did offer to move us, but the resort was pretty full so they couldn't promise we'd be in a room with no one next to us on either side so we didn't move. We aren't super picky people either, but in all my years of traveling, I've never been able to hear clearly the voices (and even snoring) of the people in the next room. We had a great time, though, traveling to Historic Smithville and eating at the Smithville Inn. Also we enjoyed eating subs at Atlantic City's famous White House Subs. Shopping in Atlantic City Tanger was not at all what we expected, and I wouldn't recommend that unless you like shopping in the middle of a busy city and needing to cross busy streets to get from one section of the outlet to another. If you enjoy outlet shopping, about 40 minutes from Brigantine there is Gloucester Premium Outlets, one of the nicest outlet malls I've ever been to. Much better than the Tanger Outlet if you are looking to shop in that area.

Poorly lit bathrooms and manager is rude -- Bad check in experience

vacationqueen4097 on 23/10/2017 21:52

I was there in a one bedroom. In both bathrooms, the lighting over the sink and mirror was terrible. If you want to put make-up on, it is virtually impossible. One guest in the elevator told me that she finally unplugged one of the nightstand lamps and took off the shade and put it in the bathroom. Even the kitchen area was poorly lit. The only well lit place was over the dining room table but there is no mirror there. There's one over by the sofa with again no light. The bed is very soft so really comfortable when you first lay down but we are not used to that so slept awful both nights we were there. Resort is small so no activities and pool is extremely small -- like a kids pool only but view from roof was nice.

Check in: I'm all for following rules but sometimes you have to be willing to bend rules when there are odd circumstances. NOT HERE. I had the worst check in experience I have had in 20 years of doing 4-6 timeshare check-ins a year for over 20 years. Manager and staff won't even consider checking you in without a guest certificate even if the resort you own at has the names in the computer wrong and despite numerous attempts to correct it, you can't get it. So I drive four hours and am told I can't check in because the first name was wrong. Really! The manager just said nothing I can do but here's RCI's number. When they send a guest certificate, I'll check you in. End of story. She would not listen and walked away after handing us the phone number. I spent the next half an hour on the phone and then they were rude when I told them to go check their fax machine. Thankfully the RCI staffer I got was very understanding and helpful. So check in process took over an hour. Next day she grunted asking how are stay was -- I had no desire to converse with her. And I was only staying 3 of my seven nights so they had the other nights they could do what they wanted. I will NOT stay here again because of the horrible check in experience and bad lighting.

Plus sides: You can get fresh towels bath daily from the maid. Room and building were clean. Doorman is the kindest man at the resort -- he's great and always has a smile. They do have beach towels, chairs and umbrellas you can check out for the day. Free use of in room safes. But it's a good two block walk to the beach so they can get heavy as they are wood and the nice umbrellas. If you can bring a cart, do so. Rooms are decent size but bedroom TVs need an upgrade -- still the old big boxes. Free shuttle to about 5 different casinos and outlet drop off in Atlantic City saves on parking there and shuttle drivers were pleasant and nice.

Very Nice Place , Great location

We will definitely stay there again. We had two rooms A one bedroom and a suite . The rooms were very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good restaurants in walking distance . Only a short 5 minute ride or take free shuttle to casinos in Atlantic city.

Great hotel, good location, excellent staff

I will definitely stay at this place when visiting Brigantine NJ. The hotel is not large, rooms had more space than we thought. Stayed in a Studio and it had a microwave, stove top, dishwasher, dishes, etc and a nice island with 3 stools, plus the couch, chair, queen bed. Pool was on the roof which we had nice views in every direction. Staff was very friendly, also, they provided, chairs, umbrellas, towels to take to the beach, which was within walking distance. Restaurants and shops on the same street.
