Overnight stop for Calais

We stayed in one of the chalets outside, it was well appointed, plenty of room and a comfortable bed. A family run hotel with all the benefits that brings; friendly, welcoming and the food was outstanding. This is our second stopover here, next time we will stay 2 nights. Well placed for Calais with lovely views from the dining room towards St Omer.

This hotel is just off the A26 and about 30 miles south of Calais
Reception was friendly and efficient
Our room was in a chalet style building of four self-contained units. Rooms in the main Hotel building are also available. Our bedroom was was cold at first but soon warmed up. Generally the heating was very efficient.
The bedroom was clean and functional but a little basic. A bit of modernisation would not go amiss.
The bathroom did not have a bath. There was lots of hot water. The WC was separate
Television limited to French language channels. This was a little surprising having regard to the fact that the Hotel is quite close to the Channel Tunnel and Car Ferries. No doubt a lot of the guests are from Angleterre.
Wifi worked well and free to use
There is more than adequate on site parking. We were quite comfortable leaving our car parked overnight without fully unloading it.
The evening meal was first class and reasonably priced. It was well cooked and efficiently served. The bar was quiet but that no doubt was on account of the time of the year of our stay.
I would be very happy to stay her again. This hotel ticked all the right boxes for an over night stay in northern France in winter.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here on our way to Southern France after crossing on the Dover Calais ferry. Rooms are reasonably priced and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Lovely position

I checked this hotel before our visit and was not disappointed. The original building I imagine was built about 100 years ago. It has high ceilings and is very attractive. We stayed in the wooden chalets in the courtyard but they were warm, comfortable and well appointed.
It has a gastronomic restaurant in the conservatory with beautiful views. The food was excellent but the wine a little pricey.
We visited St Omer the next day which is ten minutes drive away and the Channel Tunnel was just twenty minutes away.

We had a very fine stay in room 30, with a double room, and also a double and single room. Managed really well with my Mum in a wheelchair and everyone was really helpful and friendly. Great for tea and drinks before dinner in the lounge and then fantastic dinner in the elegant dining room. Overall a great stay and we shall return.
