This hotel was clean and very well run. The family who owns it is very present and warm. We had a small problem with our bathroom at 1130 pm and the owner repaired it right away.
The food breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Drinks fairly priced. Well equipped fitness center. A great stay!

A charming, traditional hotel in the countryside surrounded by beautiful, rustic, rural scenery. Comfy rooms, good, reasonably priced dinners. Anne, who worked there managing the office and as a waitperson on the weekend was very nice and friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was very good. We would choose this hotel again.

Kainshof is one of the better places close to Rudolstadt. If you like to relax peacefully and enjoy healthy and regional food it the place to go. It ist family owned and run high standard. It has ***+ stars. The restaurant is using sesonal and regional ingredients and transfers them into very nice meals.

I've stayed at Kainshof for a couple of days in March. The rooms are nice, there was a desk useful to work, comfortable bed and during the night the hotel is really quiet and you could have a good sleep.
Every night I had dinner at the restaurant and the food is wonderful.
Great place to stay if you need to work around the area.

Was in area for business the week before Xmas. Had low expectations for lodging in this area. Very delighted with the hotel and restaurant! The food bordered on gourmet late upon our arrival. Great German dishes. Rooms were very cozy and modern. Windows opened for fresh air. A great sleep! Wonderful owners. Highly recommend!
