This is our third stay here and it continues to be a special place. The accommodations are very comfortable. The facility lies in the midst of a lemon grove. Fantastic views of Mt. Etna. On this visit we could clearly see the lava spewing from the rim. I would also recommend the dinner served nightly.

We stayed in La Terra del Mezzo our first 3 nights in Sicily and wow this place is so nice, from the beautiful garden , the lovely swimming pool with Etna view, the Nice & quiet appartments and last but certainly not least the food!! the food is so delicious and is always serviced with à great smile, one of the best restaurants we have experienced in Sicily!! highly recommended to stay if you're about to visit Etna !

We booked a Junior Suite here but were bitterly dissapointed when we arrived. The room was dirty, the bathroom needs a complete refit and our dog's blanket was cleaner than the sofa in the sitting area of the so called Suite. This is not a Junior Suite and should not be sold as such. We did speak to the Manager about our disappointment and also emailed Booking.com about the expectations set on the website. The Management of La Terra del Mezzo were superb, they apologised, had a fridge installed (it was missing initially), opened the Restaurant for us on our first night (it was closed initially) and reduced the cost of our stay. They really could not have been more helpful, but some TLC is seriously required for the "Junior Suite" we booked. On another positive note, the food is home cooked, plentiful and delicious.

This is an absolutely beautiful place. The owners obviously put a lot of love into the design and landscaping. My husband and I planned to use this as a base of operations for making day trips to Mt. Etna and Taormina, but it's so serene and relaxing, once we got there, we didn't bother leaving to see other places. It's a great place to rest. (We were there in September and there were only a few other guests.)
My only constructive criticism is that the gourmet dinners, while inventive, were unevenly executed. Some dishes were perfect, some overcooked.
If you're driving, don't rely on Google for directions. Just find the village of Riposto, which is on the coast, and make a beeline for the lemon orchards, which are a 2-minute drive inland.

We booked this place for 1 night to see Etna on our way from Modica to Palermo and we wished we could stay longer.
The entire property, hotel, restaurant and lemon grove are fantastic. We got the cheapest room on the ground floor and could not complain about anything. Nice bed, perfect shower, good size room, large bathroom. Plenty of places to relax outside in beautifully landscaped garden. We had dinner and really liked the food.
Nice breakfast with salami, cheese, yoghurt and fruits plus typical italian sweets.
It was easy 1 hour drive to Etna cable car.
If we came to Sicily again we would stay in this place for longer time than 1 day.
