We loved staying at La Villa del Ensueno Hotel. It was like an oasis in the bustle of the town. Everyone there is so friendly, helpful and warm. And the pool and jacuzzi was an extra bonus. We are going back there!

Stayed only one night but wished to have stayed longer here. This place is on the edge of Tlaquepaque (about a 10 minute walk) and you feel like you are in a resort once you enter the gates. Rooms are spacious with all the amenities you need including a mini fridge and robes. The pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing with comfy lounge chairs all around.
Only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was good. You get some fresh fruit, fruit juice and then order a la carte a main dish and all that is included with the room. It's right next to the pool so easy to have some drinks and snacks by the pool if you want.
All the staff we interacted with were so friendly and helpful and most spoke a bit of English.
The hotel has a 'partnership' with a taxi company so will offer you taxi service. It's slightly more expensive than an Uber (100pesos to Tonala vs 75 in an Uber) The price to the airport was quite a bit more expensive so better to opt for Uber)
This is perfect place to explore the area and I hope to come back again!!

Just there for a simple overnight before heading out to GDL. Able to visit the sites in Tlaquepaque and have a quiet 'home' with courtyard in the evening. I'll definitely stay again and have recommended it to friends, rather than downtown Guadalajara or near the aeropuerto.

My husband and I recently spent 5 days here and I can't think of any complaints or concerns at all! We had the best service at the bar, the front desk, the maid, the driver, waiters at breakfast, of anywhere we have been in a long time. We take a lot of trips, so that is saying something! The only thing I would change, would be they would open the restaurant for lunch or dinner. We had a hard time finding dinner restaurants open after 8 pm. This is a tourist district and I was surprised at the bars and restaurants closing so early. The bar here is open until 10, so you can at least have a night cap. The Mexican decor of the rooms and the entire hotel is fabulous and the pool area is quiet beautiful. You are about a 10 minute walk from the main area of Independicia where all the shops are, enjoy!

Everytime I visit,Villa has upgraded another thing. This time it was the new breakfast buffet for weekends. OMG!!! The food was so fresh and AMAZING! And the servers are always going above and beyond. And Sandra in the kitchen! Excelente! I love the entire staff, Annabelle at the front desk, along with her coworkers always are so helpful and truly make this Villa feel like a home away from home
