What People are saying

Room ok, staff awesome

mogulman on 19/11/2017 18:11

We stayed overnight and gambled at a bunch of casinos with friends. Room was a little too warm and just ok. Carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. Window was very dirty. Bathroom was nice though and clean.

The staff at the casino was awesome and very friendly. Really like Chris and Liz for blackjack dealers. Also , Sarah was the best bartendress in all of Blackhawk. She kept us coming back. Very friendly and awesome service!

Nope. Not again

Dirty old carpets, lumpy old beds, and maybe worst of all.. sheets not changed.. hairs everywhere on the sheets, on the bathroom floor,, JUST UGH ! Told the front desk and he said to call the mgr.. he just works the desk.. had it no been 130 am would have tried to find something else.. GROSS. Ameristar from now on!

A decent bargain option if you just want to come stay and play

Came up to Black Hawk on a week day for a little staycation and to play some blackjack and take in a buffet at Monarch.

Though we usually stay at the Ameristar (whose quality is really unmatched in Black Hawk), we went with Lady Luck because we found a great discount rate and it seemed like an opportunity to see what other hotels we're offering. Check-in was a little odd, only because it's located on the first floor of the parking structure.

The room was a good deal for the price ($70), the bed comfortable, and it was nice to have the option of a smoking room. The decor in the room was good, though worn in spots. The bathroom was well-appointed and well lit.

Overall, having previously stayed at other hotels in town like the Isle, we'd say this was a reasonable second choice over Ameristar if you'd rather spend your money in the casinos than in where you're sleeping.

Better than Driving home

The room was very basic. After an evening of fun in the OTHER casino's we just needed a place to sleep. However that was difficult with the wild animal noises (ahem) coming from the room next door and the apparent fight in the hallway just outside our room. Needless to say it was an expensive night with little sleep. The food at Otis's in Lady Luck looked like a buffet in a gas station and the casino itself was little. We went elsewhere to eat and play. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I go back.

Pretty good stay at Lady Luck

After looking at other reviews, it seems like the level of satisfaction may depend largely on whether or not one receives a room that is in good condition. Maybe I just got lucky, but room 1152 was clean, reasonably modern. Furniture showed some traces of wear, but nothing bad anywhere. Bathroom was clean, shower had good pressure, and plenty of hot water. The interior hallways all seemed clean, with fairly recent updates, carpet and paint looked fine.Perhaps all of the rooms are not in the same condition......
The check in desk is in a very odd place, in lower floor of parking garage, and navigation thruout the hotel is unusual, but once the routes have been found from place to place, it was not too bad. The hotel is rather expensive on weekend nights, but Black Hawk fancies itself a a resort town, to prices are jacked up accordingly on Friday and Saturday nights. The Lady Luck was still one of the least expensive rooms in town, and was OK for our needs.
