We have been here for 3 nights. The energy cost is 12 euro for us three people. I like this idea to pay energy separately. So we are more conscious about energy consumption. The waterpark is cool, but restaurants are boring. I miss asian food.

Lalandia Billund is a fntastic location for Legoland and the new Lego House.
The Waterpark - This could do with being open a bit later, and the gents and family changing rooms could do with being a bit larger and cleaner. The locker system was brilliant as there was no need for loose/exact change. The sldies were amazing, and the wild river was such a thrill. Food and shops around the waterpark were also very good, but bear in mind the food is quite expensive.
The Accomodation. Checking in was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our accomodation was quite far away from the entrance, but there was a shuttle train. Beware, as this train does NOT run all day long!. The lodge was clean, warm, comfortable and well stocked. Another note of caution is definitely to bring hand wash and probably a toilet roll!!
Legoland was a 5 minute walk, and the new Lego House about twenty minutes down a couple of straight roads.
Accomodation is secure and safe, the whole pace is clean and was not busy at all as the Danish and other school holidays had finished the week before.
The taxi from the airport cost 100DKK - About £12.
Fatastic short stay, and we will be back !!!!

We stayed here in August 2017 and had a great time. We booked this through British Airways as a flight and accommodation package. The Lalandia resort offers unlimited use of the Water park (the largest in Scandinavia I believe) a short walk away, with Legoland a couple of hundred yards further on. Legoland is expensive (as is Denmark generally!) but the free to use Water park was something you could visit over and over again. Some great water slides! We used Budget car hire from Billund airport, by far the cheapest car hire, and could be at the coast in an hour or less. Great holiday!

We rented a "Classic 8 Plus" house in Lalandia for our family of 5 in order to visit Legoland. The house was very nice and clean and almost everything worked when we arrived. We had a problem with the Wifi but the service center representative spoke English and sent a technician to the house within an hour of our call. The problem affected multiple homes, but it was fixed within a few hours of our arrival. The Lalandia indoor park/recreation center was actually much more fun than we thought it would be! We ice skated and "sledded" one night and played for hours in the water park another night. The park was walking distance from our home but, depending on where your rental home is and the weather, it might be a bit far to walk. There was a "train" that ran to and from the rental homes, but even in the off-season it got really crowded and didn't run very often, so you couldn't depend on it to get you there or back, at least not in a timely manner. We drove to Legoland to save a 20-25 minute walk. We took our own bed sheets to avoid charges for 5 people and drove our own vehicle to our rental home from Germany. There was adequate vehicle parking by the home. Our utility bill (paid separately) was about 40 Euro for 3 x days of electricity, water and heat. I think they should include the utility bill in the overall cost, but it is a small inconvenience. Overall, we were very pleased with the home and the Lalandia center and would definitely visit both again.

We stayed at Lalandia for 6 nights with two kids. Prices drop dramatically at the second half of August, as the Danish kids are back to school.
The cottage has everything you need, however we paid a lot for towels and linens (too much trouble carrying those as luggage on the flight). Kitchen was not super-clean when we got there and there were finger prints on the windows across the cottage.
We did not understand that the entrance to Birkestien St. is different than the main entrance to the village, so we had to go through reception instead of the ideal automatic check-in with the code.
The aqua dome is a lot of fun for all the family, so is the Monkey-Tonkey land. The supermarket is well-equipped. Legoland is 10 min. walk from Birkestien St.
We bought the resort pass for 599 dkk per person. We spent two days in Legoland and one day at Givskud zoo and saved a lot of money. We also saved a lot of time as the morning lines for tickets at Legoland were quite long.
We have previously stayed in other holiday resorts in the world. Lalandia makes a good use of technology, the the smart wrist-bands functioning as cottage keys, wallets, locker keys, etc. However, the village is quite simple and its surroundings are not tranquil. There are not enough trees, no lakes or forests. Unlike other holiday villages, wondering around the village and enjoying the surroundings is not something fun to do.
