Cosy place, average food
Mixalhs20 on 13/11/2017 11:22
The place is cosy and the waiters are very friendly. The charcuterie plate was OK, the viande seché and the two sorts of hams were boring (inexpensive supermarket quality), the Vaudois sausage on the fatty and salty side. The soup was OK, but also lacking some twist that would have made it more interesting. The cheese fondue was nice with a noticeable aroma of Kirsch, but it would have benefitted from more aromatic cheeses.
Always keep some space for rum raisin icecreme

After delicious main course, I kept some space of dessert ‘Original Rum raisin St James’. The best I’ve ever tasted

We enjoyed this spot, popular w/locals + great service. Also had a medieval feel to the interior...recommended!
Deer steak and Fondue

The restaurant locates direct at the traffic light. Recommended menu is Fondue and Deer Steak (Medium rare to rare which is fine for me). Staffs are really friendly.
Great ambiance

Stepping into this tavern takes the visitor back to the 1700’s. The curved stone roof, the (steep) spiral staircase, the rondells, and the wooden benches.
The wines are all Swiss and well worth your time. We arrived too late for lunch fondue, but it smelled divine!
