Not for tired travelers...

After a day of travel from Rimini, we finally made it through the maze of tiny narrow streets to the rented apartment, which turned out to be an attic apartment. Very cute, but we had to climb 72 steps WITH luggage to get to it. Not much English spoken, be figured out how to connect to the internet after some struggle. The FREE parking is on the other side of the bridge!!!
Marilena has a beautiful and spacious B&B in the heart of the medieval city of Ascoli Piceno.

B&B Language & Art has specious rooms in a beautiful typical Italian city house from people who are art and literature minded. There is much to read and discover. The location is perfect in the middle of the old city of Ascoli Piceno surrounded with high class restaurants, shops and cafes including the famous Cafe Meletti.
Marilena is a real generous host serving you with her handmade and biological breakfast (on request even gluten free), inside information about the city and surroundings. The rooms and beds are perfect. Ideal for experience an "at home" feling. Highly advised if you visit Le Marche and Ascoli Piceno.Almost forgotten: Marilena can organize How to make Olive Ascolane workshops.Marilena thanks for your hospitality!!
Great B&B in perfect position!

This beautiful family home turned B&B is situated in a perfect position just inside the walls of the historic centre of Ascoli Piceno and a short walk from both the Roman bridge and the town’s main squares.
The house and the rooms have a wonderful view over the river Tronto and the Roman Bridge.
The rooms are comfortable and all have ensuite bathrooms (ask for “Tulipani” or the upstairs suite if you want more space).
Marilena makes her guests feel very welcome and prepares a delicious homemade breakfast with fresh bread, muffins, cereals, home made jam and more.
I would definitely return to this Bed & Breakfast.
Language and Art B&B stands out from others

This B&B is quite beautifu and if you get the opportunity to rent the self contained floor above, then do, because it is quite stunning. We arrived just before Christmas to a glowing living room with a fire and a magnificent Christmas tree. Breakfast was great, with home made preserves and bread. If you are driving you are not able to park in the street. We parked quite conveniently about five minutes walk away in a free parking street, so it wasn't a hassle at all. There is no lift but the B&B is only a three floors up a wide staircase. The view from the apartment of the river and the towers is beautiful and the town is wonderful. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Italy.
Perfect place to stay in Ascoli!

We spent 4 nights in the 3rd floor apartment at B&B Language and Art. It's a lovely spot with views of the river, the town's towers, and nearby church bells from the terrace/atrium in the center of the apartment. Marilena, the kind owner, and I corresponded via email before we arrived, and though she was on vacation, Dagmara took great care of us. She even had one of the B&B bicycles repaired during a few hours so that my husband and I could ride around town -- as do most of the Ascolani residents. She also recommended a variety of restaurants -- all were excellent and good value. It's a wonderful town for bike riding, friendly businesses, and getting to know the Ascoli region cucina. The apartment is comfortable (it's the top floor of the building, so the skylights and aircon are most welcome in summertime). The kitchen is fine for making light meals; coffee and tea are supplied, and the fridge is equipped with milk, juice, jams, yogurt, and fruit. Breakfast is a nice mix of breads, croissants, muffins, excellent homemade jams from local fruits, honey from the Sibillini mountains, cereals, meats and cheeses, juice and coffee. The apartment's living room and dining areas are comfortable and easy for making contact with the B&B's free wifi. It is a 'green' establishment and uses organic products -- like coffee, homemade jams, toilet paper, etc. -- that comply with environmentally friendly & low carbon principles. It is located in a quiet part of the northwest corner of Ascoli's centro storico and near the walkway that follows the perimeter wall above the Tronto River. It's a lovely place, and we will return to stay there. We recommend it HIGHLY!
