I think this is the first hotel I stay with lots of ethnic stuff in my room. It is very cultural stuff of Chinese. Interesting though, but my colleague not very comfy with this ambience since the lighting is so warm so a little bit dark, with lots of ornament, for her it is spooky 😝

The staff here were incredibly welcoming, and their English is one of the best I've heard in Qingdao.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have an authentic twist to them. The complimentary beer is a nice touch.

I booked this hotel from hotels.com
And the location in the map from hostels.com is wrong. And the google map was also wrong. Only the map Apple provides gave us the right location.
The point i was disappointed is
1. The room smells so humid and moldy.
2. No light from window.
3. Dusty room
4. Shower facility (No bathroom just shower booth but its drainage is bad.)
5. Bug in the bed. I found little bug in the bed ..
So we were supposed to stay for 2 nights
But after one night, We couldnt stand , we changed another hotel.
We gave up refund. Even we paid more to get another room in another hotel . We dont regeret.!
It was terrible experience.

Yes, if you would feel comfortable to live in a giant mushroom - constantly enjoying the smell of mold - this is your place to be.
Me and my husband booked two nights for 1000RMB, we were so disappointed when checking in. The dense smell of mold covers the entire room. Why all the good reviews before, we wondered?
We asked for a different room but were asked to pay 140RMB extra, per night. For that price we could've stayed somewhere far less... moldy! The husband got mad and then our front desk guy suddenly deducted the price to 60RMB extra, apparently getting mad will get you a more decent price.
All in all, yes the interior looks artsy. Yes, it might be a nice location, in this full of restaurants street. But honestly, to pay this price to live in a mold smelling place? No, thank you! We checked out the next morning and found something on airbnb.

Walk to the hotel was farther than expected...part of our group found a coffee shop to relax...others ventured onward to check-in. The first part of our group did not wait at the coffee shop as discussed and got lost on the way to the hotel. I want to commend staff manager Joyce for the help she provided. She was only able to get one of two taxis that we needed. Another staff member (did not get her name) volunteered to drove us in her personal car to locate the first part of our group. Joyce and the other staff members went out of their way to help us. Everyone was friendly and gracious.
My room was OK...smaller than I expected though. The towels are thin and need to be replaced with thicker ones. Couch in the sitting area was a nice touch. Bed was quite comfortable...slept very well which is important.
I would stay again because the staff was so gracious...select a larger room next time for my personal needs
