Visited first week of December! Winter break with inghams! Stayed in chalet which was approx 20mins walk from the hotel where we had half board - breakfast and supper. Cosy clean chalet. Large supermarket not far with everything you need. Also a chemist which was handy as needed paracetamol for the kids. Plenty of different places to eat - pizza place great - ate bear, raindeer and salmon on p

Me and my friend visited this hotel for one night in July 2017. We had a twin room in the building next to the reception building. Our goal was to go hiking before moving to Levi for three more nights.
The hotel was conveniently located; it was a short taxi drive away from the Pallas-Ylläs Nationalpark/ Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas. This is a must place to visit. There are amazing Lapland views from the visitor centre and its restaurant, and you can choose between many hikes. We took the Varkaankuru round, which was very beautiful, and has quite unique nature given its location in Lapland. It is also said that the air here is the purest in all Europe.
We also took another hike around lake Äkäslompolo, as we could reach the trails easily just behind the hotel reception. This hike was rather easy (flat), and we enjoyed the stunning Lapland views. On the last part of the walk we visited the village center about 1 km from the hotel.
Apart from the location, this hotel is also good for its friendly staff, entertainment (music) and for the sauna and the small indoor pool. We were allowed to keep our room later for no extra fee as my friend was getting a cold and needed to rest after our hike. Also, we were allowed to use the sauna and the pool after check-out without additional costs. The hotel room was ok but quite worn. It was, however close to sauna.
Amazing setting

Visited this hotel in Dec 2016 and loved every minute!
Log cabins were incredible and the whole santa experience was magical for our daughter. Well organised through Thomson from Manchester and the xmas spirit was in full effect.
Only downside is the food is fairly limited and the drinks very expensive.
Swimming pool is small but decent and offers a nice break from the snow for the kids.
Wondered down to the lake behind the shops in the town and saw the northern lights! Quite something to experience.
Can't wait to go again!
An experience like no other 😁 Amazing 👍

This was our first time to Lapland/Finland and can honestly say we can't wait to go back to the same resort and potentially same hotel.
The package deal we got with Monarch was first class and really worth the money, this included flights, transfers, accommodation in a scenic log cabin plus half board (upgraded from B&B) ski suits and boots plus two half day trips one including various activities such as skidoos, raindeer sledging, husky sledging etc etc and the other a trip to the ice palace, both I may add amazing experiences.
The airport transfer takes about an hour to an hour and a half but when it's so pretty with all the snow everywhere you really don't mind at all. You stop off first at another hotel just down the road to collect your ski suit and boots if required then 5 mins later once all back on board you arrive at the hotel. You are greeted at reception with a smile which was nice and if you are staying in a log cabin you are advised to use a couple of sledges which were located outside, sledge + suitcase + snow yep I get it lol.
It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to reach your cabin and it's truly worth it as the location is like a picture postcard. The cabins themselves are pretty basic but that's what you expect really, the log fires are wonderful but the cabins are very well insulated you really don't need the fire on although we did just to see what it looked like lol. The cabin offers a dining area, mini kitchen with utilities, two single beds we just pushed together, tiny bathroom and a very ummmm snug shower lol, I had to squeeze to get in and out most days but it really wasn't that big an issue, there is also a sauna located in the bathroom but we never used it. Each cabin by the way is split in two with the same set up either side if you wasn't aware and had friends coming with you.
The food at the restaurant isn't out of this world but it's ok, if you fancy a change and a short walk there are plenty of places to eat out once outside the resort, we will certainly go B&B next time as the food is great out with lots of choices.
Entertainment at the hotel is a bit hit and miss but day and night there is so much to do outside the resort it really doesn't matter, we actually just went for some lovely walks as so picturesque or did a bit of shopping and hit a few bars. As only 4 days it's easy to keep busy. The hotel bar was nice though for a chill after a hard day in the snow but quite expensive for drinks and food (not included in your package deal)
You can arrange to do more trips via your tour operator located in the restaurant/bar area, they are all like extended versions of the mini half day we had included within the package deal, we loved the skidoos so much we did a night time trip and it was amazing!!!
Yllas is apparently quieter than Levi but much more picturesque, we loved it and really are looking forward to returning early next year.
Nice and very LARGE rooms, aprox 60m² for 4 peoples

You can practice all snows activities with hotel free facilities, swimming, karaoke, bar, and so on, the restaurant is very goog and sufficient large, we spent a week and all was very nice. Specialy the reception for example to help us for technical problem on our ski, or some rooms accessories.
