What People are saying

Comfort

This was my second stay at a Larkspur Landing property. Check in was simple & easy. Our one bedroom suite was perfect for a group of 4. The king bed and queen pull out bed were so comfortable we slept like babies. The room was clean and comfortable. It also provided a full kitchen if you want to save some money and cook a meal. Included in the room rate is a continental breakfast consisting of bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juices. I would definitely stay at a Larkspur Landing again.

So-so experience with toddler...

The staff was great- very friendly and personable. The location is optimal, offering close proximity to a ton of shopping and recreation areas. The bathroom was a bit dated with a small full bathtub/shower but the lights were bright unlike the dimly lit bath in another review. A major concern for me, which would’ve been a deal breaker had I known beforehand, is the disgusting crib they supplied. Not only was it incredibly old but it looked like it has never been cleaned. Then to make matters worse, a large, rumpled flat sheet was placed in it instead of a fitted crib sheet. That’s very dangerous and can suffocate a child very easily. I ended up having my son co-sleep instead. The breakfast was basically all carbs, which is sad because they could really do it up right. All in all not amazing, but not terrible.

Great People, Mixed Experience

We stayed here four nights while visiting family nearby. First, the goods. The staff was super friendly and super helpful, just a delight. The location is outstanding, easy to get in and out of, convenient to highways. Wifi was free but unsecured, you just have to remember to re-log in when you come back to the room. Now, the not so goods. Physically, it's a trifle rundown and outdated. Our room door had a door closer that made you put all your weight into opening the door but didn't actually close it behind you. The dim lighting in the bathroom was hard on my wife although it didn't bother me much. The desk and kitchenette would have been more helpful if I were alone on a business trip. The free breakfast is good only if you love your carbs, otherwise, not so good compared to other hotels. My breakfast was a surprisingly blah muffin, a trifle of yoghurt, a piece of string cheese, and a piece of fruit. The nice eating area is small, although you could eat facing a wall in the business center or in the conference room. Sadly, the coffee area is cramped and poorly laid out. Just to end on a high note, the evening cookies were a nice touch. Depending on what matters to you, this hotel could be great or awful. For us, it all evened out.

Great place to stay

Friendly staff, very nice, clean room. Quiet, as we were on the backside of the building. Will definitely stay there again in the future. Did not take advantage of on site breakfast, but nice to know it is offered.

Disappointment

I spent quite a bit of time finding a place that had a jacuzzi. I even called the hotel when I was about to book it to make sure the jacuzzi was in working order. Upon our arrival, we had a few minutes to explore the property before heading off to our weekend event, and I asked where the jacuzzi was, and was told it was not working. Grrrr. If I was rating the place with everything in working order, I would’ve given it a 4. I’ll start with the Cons:
-Broken down jacuzzi. Grrrr again.
-Queen size bed the size of a double bed; I know—I sleep in a Queen size bed every night at home, and maybe on a planet of Lilliputians that’s a queen size but not here on planet earth. And of course, there were no King Studio suites ready when we got there. (I know there are no guarantees, but I’m just sayin...)
-Only one kind of herbal tea, so no choices for us no caffeine types
-They haven’t upgraded to the awesome bedside lamps that either have a plug, or a USB jack
-The room layout was a little weird—tv was off to the side of the bed, so not so easy to lay in bed and watch.

Pros:
-The rooms were in good repair, clean, nice shower head, decent toiletries, nice kitchenette.
-The breakfast was good—just the right number of choices.
-Reasonably priced, and convenient location
-Wifi worked well
-Staff were pleasant
