I would have given a much higher rating, as I wasn't expecting luxury at this price point, but the host we met both at check in and check out were rude and creepy. I was expecting different when it is listed as a place good for women. The creepy hosts made the bugs in the bathroom that much more noticeable.

I organized a group of 11 people to visit Lima in December 2014 - we were very happy during out stay. I was in communication with a gentleman named Carlos. In the months leading up to our visit, Carlos responded to questions in a timely manner (consistently within 24 hours) - and i had many on neighborhood safety, hostel amenities, nearby restaurants, access to meeting space, etc. During the trip, Carlos was accommodating, doing what he could to meet the needs of our group.
Helpfulness of staff - Staff were really helpful in general and when we had questions about places we wanted/needed to go, taxi prices, restaurants, etc. Not everyone is fully Spanish/English bilingual, but all can communicate in English. Each morning at 7am we held a meeting a few days in a row. The staff brought coffee, juice and a small (simple) breakfast to us so that we could continue meeting. This really helped us to stay on schedule.
Meeting space - we were able to meet in a small outdoor breakfast area on the 3rd floor. It was beautifully tiled with plants surrounding the patio and was covered. We held meetings there each day.
Copies - making copies was a bit expensive, but there are several places in the area; just ask.
Laundry - staff will launder clothes for a reasonable cost; simply put your dirty clothes in a bag and let the desk know.
Overall we had a good experience. I really felt as though the staff were looking out for us (we all traveled from the U.S. and about half of us were English-only speakers). I decided to stay at the hostel 2 additional days after our delegation left. I was able to rest in a clean and secure space. I would certainly stay again if i ever return to Lima.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Safe, clean and quiet.
Breakfast included but could offer more choices other
than ham sandwich or bread and jelly. Fresh juice was a nice surprise.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Printed out our
boarding passes for the next morning.
Nice area to walk and there are lots of small shops and
restaurants for all you need.
Very good location and offered free WIFI.

The hostel was fairly basic, but provided a good base for our one night stay in Lima. We wanted somewhere not too far from the airport. It was located very close to the Parc Reserva, where the water magic light shows are well worth a visit. It was slightly far from the centre of Lima, it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the main square. Overall, simple and basic, with helpful staff.

I stayed here two nights by myself and was very satisfied. I paid $34 per night and that included a breakfast of eggs with ham, toast, coffee and juice. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the front desk personnel were very helpful; I speak almost no Spanish. The location was great; not too far ( by taxi) from anything I wanted to see ( huaca pucllana, museo larco, church of San Francisco)
