We have stayed in the hotel one night in November, we expected a special place not to far from the Airport.But the place is very simple and low grade, our room on the second floor was over heated, and thete was no way to stop the heating, we had to open the roof windows, ,(as there no other windows in the room) and keep them open all night to reach a normal temp in the room. But due to non stop trafic on yhe road it was to noisy to sleep.
The shower was driping water, not flowing water at changing temp, once to hot and once to cold
Bteak fast is 12 eu each, to expensive.
And at the end it took us an hour to drive to the air port.
If you are looking for a hotel no to far from the air port, the 1815 is not the one

Close to Brussels and highways. Older hotel deemed a historic site. Great restaurant next door. Restaurant in the hotel had a limited ( for our tastes) menu. Rooms are small. Mini ridge didn't work in our room. If it's warm it will stay that way as it's not air conditioned.

The location of the hotel was great. The room was not bad but VERY HOT! Even with the window open all night our room temperature never got below 78 degrees F. The heater was not on and had to leave the window open all night. Thank goodness we had a fan to move the air. Be sure you can carry your luggage up stairs because there is no elevator. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Checking-in at this hotel Marco was very friendly and helpful. It has a great location and my room overlooked the Waterloo battlefield. The restaurant below the hotel was also very good. No A/C here, but it wasn't as issue as my room had a fan.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the 1815 hotel. Lovely restaurant/bar attached and very tastefully decorated throughout. The perfect place to stay if you intend to visit the Waterloo battlefield as it is right outside the front door!
