Arrived having booked a "privileged" room for 2 nights, with view of the grounds and were sent to one which was dark, poky , next to shared toilets and looked over courtyard and car park. We were offered another one which was much nicer,larger and lighter and had a partial view of the park. That was fine but the attitude of the receptionist was utterly unapologetic and felt as if we were making an unreasonable fuss. The other staff were friendly enough, but it wasn't a good start. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night which was fine but rather limited menus, particularly if you are not a fan of fois gras or snails. The amuse bouches and Starters sounded good but were a bit disappointing. the rest was nice enough but we weren't tempted to try it a second night and went into the Bistro Jaquemot in Moulins instead which was a very jolly friendly spot with good unpretentious food. For considerably less.

This is a lovely traditional Hotel of excellent quality set in beautiful grounds with a lovely pool. All very relaxing. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Very good restaurant with a lovely view from the terrace. Very good breakfast in a lovely breakfast room. Will definitely revisit!

Having eaten in the restaurant several times and never been disappointed, we asked them to host a meal for 30, for a special anniversary. Guests included two vegetarians, and absolutely everything was perfect. Price very reasonable too.

We needed a place to overnight after going up and down the Pyrennes. Then we discovered this charming hotel, with cosy rooms, a lovely pond with ducks quite near and an excellent restaurant next to it. All perfect.

A return visit here on our way south and indeed on the return north. Comfortable rooms excellent booking by email with very friendly reception staff. The restaurant is excellent with lovely local produce and suberb service. Wfii connection is excellent and worked very well in the annexe. Breakfast had a wide choice of the normal items found in French hotels We shall definitely return
