Stayed here for 2 nights, we booked last minute and the lady was very accommodating and friendly. She explained a bit about the area, and made sure we were happy with the room. We had a lovely view of mt Etna, and the hotel is small but well located to the main street and beach area. We would definitely recommend as a stopover during your Sicily trip.

Basic B&B with friendly owners. The city of Riposto was very disappointing. B&B has a nice view from the rooftop on the Etna. Large rooms with balconies. B&B is located near a trainstation in a quite street.

We spent 3 nights at Le Giare. It is conveniently located in Riposto which is off the A18 autostrada between Messina and Catania about 1 hour's drive north of Catania airport and about 30 minutes' drive south of Taormina.
Our room 24 on level 2 (lift or stairs for access) was very nice indeed, spotlessly clean with a balcony giving great views of Mt Etna. The king size bed was very comfortable and there was a desk and plenty of power points. The bathroom was unusually large (although with a surprisingly small shower cubicle) and beautifully tiled and fitted out.
Breakfast was on the level 3 roof terrace. Typical Italian with lots of sweet things, nothing savoury and no protein. Only very average coffee from a push button machine. On one morning we had a delicious home made cherry cake.
A slight negative about Riposto is the apparent lack of choice of eating places for dinner. Maybe it's different in the height of summer? Anyway after scouting around we had 3 nice, if slightly expensive meals and in fact I ate one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Tagliatelle with local red shrimps and shaved truffle. At the bistro at the marina. Divine.

Le Giare is in a very peaceful surrounding, a few minutes away from the Giarre/Riposto train station. The rooms and hotel common areas were incredibly clean and well-kept. The view of the Mount Etna from the upper terrace and breakfast room is very nice and relaxing. The owner, la Signora Stella is extremely helpful and accommodating. I was with a group of students on an exchange, and one cannot even imagine the number of concessions that la Signora Stella made to make our stay better and the most comfortable possible. I couldn't have chosen a better hotel in the area. I strongly suggest Le Giare to anyone!

We had just stayed at several 3* hotels on the mainland and to be very honest this little B&B out classed them all.
Just a 10 minute walk from the railway station, we were met by Stella the owner, who was really welcoming and a most helpful lady.
We had room 24, via a modern lift, spacious. spotlessly clean, air conditioned and all modern facilities. The breakfast room was on the rooftop with a terrace and lovely view of Etna, a good plentiful selection of croissants, local breads, cakes, a choice of teas,coffees and juices were available.
The location is quiet, just great for exploring the local attractions and only a 10 minute walk from the marina. Many local restaurants are also within a 10 minute stroll. A fitness center is just across the road, cash machine and pharmacy just 2 minutes walk away.
There was just one problem, we should have booked for longer.
I can highly recommend this B&B and I will certainly return here on any future visit to the area.
