Very friendly welcome and cannot fault the managers (owners?) or their well trained staff.
Our room was comfortable with a small balcony, but we would recommend paying extra for a superior room rather than the comfort room we had booked
Clean. Drench Shower rather than a bath. No grab handles which a hazard.
Pleasant large salon if you feel you want the space.

We were absolutely enthousiastic about our two nights stay in Le Goyen. A very friendly lady at the reception immediately asked whether we wanted a reservation in the restaurant (which we did ; highly recommended, see a separate review). We had booked a superior room, which offers a lot of space ; the bathroom is well equipped with a rain shower. Breakfast is delicious (a.o. a very nice selection of different types of honey), with the exception of the coffee (which is horrible).

We booked room #200, aka the apartment for us two plus our kids (7 and 4). It is huge, on the second floor, accessible with large stairs or lift with a view on the harbor. One bedroom with a queen bed, one bedroom with 3 single beds, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a dining room :)
The staff was super nice and helpful, and flexible. They knew us by name from the moment we arrived and we're super kind during the whole stay.
Will stay there again.

The staff made our stay a real treat. The service in this hotel is of the highest standard and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely rooms overlooking the harbour, great restaurant and good choice for Breakfast. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay.

Our first visit to Le Goyen, the staff are wonderful! Anne gave us the friendliest of welcomes and was extremely helpful throughout our stay.Our room was comfortable and 'spotlessly clean', (rarely do I use these words). The restaurant was equally good with such friendly, amenable staff and good service. The food, well, what can I say, C'EST MAGNIFIQUE! Chefs show passion and great artistic flair whilst the waiting staff showed exemplary dedication. Sarah, Joel and Milo were particularly adept at pre-empting our needs and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good experience. We really enjoyed the amuse bouche of mussels in saffron, the crayfish appetiser, starters of Galette de blé noir, guacamole et sorbet balsamique, Barbue avec petits pois, girolles, émulsion verveine and for dessert, Promenade autour de Menton; Mousse citron jaune, sablé breton, confit de citron vert, Crumble chocolat blanc et sorbet citron-anis. There is a well chosen wine list and we enjoyed the Quincy from the Loire and a Saint Verain, both drank exceedingly well! We had a table by the window so had good views of the boats in the harbour, all adding to the ambience. The 'hands on' owners manage this hotel very well and their staff are a credit to them and to themselves, well done and thank you for an amazing time! We will return one day!
