Friendly staff, quaint hotel a short walk from railway station but inside the old city. A short walk from the centre of town and the tourist office where you are often picked up for tours. Small but clean rooms...you can request ground floor as I did as I have a heavy case,

I'm very pleased with my experience here. The room was clean, bed was ok (but typical for European hotel). They had a very nice garden where we enjoyed complimentary breakfast. The concierge was helpful but not too knowledgeable about nearby wine country, which I would have expected her to be. She did help us make dinner reservations. The hotel is within the city wall, not on top of the main plaza but near enough since Avignon is so small.

There is a good welcome waiting for you at this hotel located just inside the city gates and near to the Central Station in Avignon. Breakfast is excellent, the price reasonable and the staff are helpful and pleasant. The room was fine, sometimes the Wi-fi is slow and the shower lacked doors which meant that the bathroom floor got wet each time the shower was used. There isn't a bar but you can be served drinks either in the garden at the rear ground floor or in your room.

My friend and I stayed at Le Magnan for nearly two weeks using it as a base to visit the surrounding area.....we felt that we could not have found a better place to stay.
Yes the rooms are only small but the whole hotel is very, very clean and the water is always hot. We had room twelve overlooking the courtyard, the bathroom was very modern and looked as if it had just been updated.....the air con worked really well.
Breakfast was excellent and food and coffee was never left to run out.
The one thing that stood out was the wonderful staff, they were so kind to us and made our stay at this little hotel very memorable.......Thank you to all of you

We needed a place for a short stay in Avignon, near to the train station (we were coming from the TGV / Eurostar from London Kings X on the direct train). We found this super little hotel on the edge of the old town by the Porte Magnan gate. A very good family room (we are 3 yr old, 5 yr old plus baby) set up so that a mezzanine floor above could be used by the two children and adults slept below. Lovely sleepy little courtyard for breakfast and drinks, but really it is more about using it as a base to stroll into town and see the main sights before strolling back. The hotel staff were delightful and very understanding especially when our son swung off the curtains and broke something which left us very embarrassed, but they were charming throughout. Would very happily come back again for a similar trip. I imagine it is a great place to stay during the summer festival given it is a stroll to the train station and a stroll to the old town.
