This is a very nice Starwood property. Great location right on the shore. Private beach is a bit small but has lots of chairs and some imported sand. Fresh water pool inside and very large, freeform, saltwater pool outside. Excellent for families with children.
Rooms and amenities are good. Any room on the shore side of the hotel will have an awesome view.
I would say the room rate is mid-range but the food and beverage is on the high side, for sure.
As of June 2017, beware of construction if you're driving in. Due to one-way traffic, there is no hotel access coming from the east. You must approach the hotel from the west only. Not a small matter when you factor in the difficult driving in Monaco. Our GPS wasn't aware of it and caused some stressful moments.

We had booked two partial ocean view rooms to accommodate our family through Starwood. I would highly recommend that you pay the extra and book an ocean view! Upon entering the room we noticed that there wasn't much of a view and when we opened the balcony door, there was a very loud air conditioning unit operating. We would not have been able to sit out on the balcony due to the noise. This is not the experience we wanted and immediately spoke with reception requesting a move. We eventually were moved to an ocean view room which was absolutely beautiful. The view is beautiful and worth the extra dollars. The pool, beach and environment around the hotel was beautiful. We had lunch at Amber Summer which faces the sea and the food and drinks were lovely. We found the hotel to be in a great location as we walked everywhere. We have a favourite little cafe for great coffee within walking distance called Sphere in the Le Metropole shopping centre. We ran into a local who told us to visit the market at place d'armes and have lunch at the Princes favourite pasta place called Maison des Pâtes. Our family throughly enjoyed the experience. The locals are extremely lovely people. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel. Great rooms nothing flash but clean and tidy. Great views of the bay. It's just 15 min walk from cafe 're paris and casino. The private beach is a real plus. Not too busy and good waiter service. Food is good and new amber bar outside is nice addition. Breakfast selection is really good also. Nice touch fron the hotel was birthday card and two pastries placed in the room on slate saying happy birthday. Will certainly return here as it's great value for money.

Just look at the view from the balcony - stunning!
Staff very attentive - good breakfast & lunch.

Prior to our arrival I had a problem with paying for our stay, I called the hotel directly and each one of my cards declined (although I had plenty of credit on them,I never use debit cards for hotel bookings) after calling my card issuers I was told it was the hotel putting the payment through incorrectly (they put it through as though I was present at the hotel) once I explained this,they did the payment and it went through successfully. I expressed my displeasure that this had happened.
We arrived at the hotel tired from a 6 hour drive from Carcassonn,on check in we had exactly the same issue with my card(s) - the hotel wanted to take 1000 euros as a safety deposit, each of my cards declined again. Not only was this frustrating after a long drive but extremely embarrassing in front of all the other guests. Again I called my card issuers and was advised it was fault of the hotel. After about 20 minutes and the hotel asking us to pay a cash deposit in which I declined and expressed my annoyance did they explain that it was probably because they were putting the bill through as £'s and not €'s! As soon as they tried €'s the payment accepted!!!!???!!!
We finally got to our room (an upgrade we were told)
We were in the room literally seconds and we were shocked by the noise we heard,drilling and banging from the room next door, I called reception and asked if it was excepted to last long in which I was told yes as they are renovating!!! I asked to speak to the manager at this point and said I wanted him to come to our room as I wanted him to hear the noise...after 15 minutes he did not arrive. I again called reception and was asked to come to reception as they wanted to change our room, we went to reception and waited in que, the manager seemed "scared" to speak with us and palmed us off to a very pleasant, helpful team member called Ivan, Ivan swapped our rooms promptly. At the same time another guest was complaining from the noise from the club the night before and seemed very unhappy.
We are due to checkout on Monday 19th June, we will not be coming back to this hotel,it looks great but that's about it. The view from the man made beach is of the water sports, the sunbeds are uncomfortable (not something you would expect of a 5* hotel) the drinks and food are over priced for the standard of hotel and service. Next time we will stay at the Fairmont as we have done previously.(we are actually going to pay to go to the fairmont for the day just to get out of this hotel)
Overall very disappointing- ruined our anniversary. Would rate this hotel 3*.
