It is a good modern hotel situated in a super nice location. We got a luxurious room with direct sea view, in clear weather you could see Saudi Arabia on the other side. The room was fine, spacious and good beds. The bathroom was good but very low, tall people have a problem here. The food in buffet style and freshly grilled and fried stuff was fine and diverse. We had all incusive and got good quality wine, also other drinks were fine. The service was also good and friendly only sometimes too quickly with clearing. A tip here and there always works well. The Meridien hotels all appear to have the same policy, they always play the same music at breakfast, lunch, dinner and in the lobby, which becomes annoying after a few days. You also often hear music mixed together. We personally would not prefer music or very soft and quiet relaxed music. This hotel has beautiful pools, clean and something for everyone. The hotel has some dated places, for example the breakfast room and space around it but our feeling was that they are busy updating this. The private beach with snorkel spot on your doorstep is wonderful. You step into an aquarium. Nice sunbeds and nice wicker baskets. The lifegard is there but whistles only if you swim too far, if something would happen he can not do much if you are too far away. A boat and binoculars would make it a real lifegard. The beach bar is good but but could be improved a bite to eat there would also be nice. It is certainly a hotel that we would recommend.

Meridien Dahab is absolutely wonderful. You can go there alone, as a couple or with family and friends and still enjoy it.
The only problem is that it doesn't have the authentic taste of Dahab. It's a luxurious hotel, mainly built for relaxation. Sure you can call up a few locals and arrange a trip to the Blue Hole or the 3 Pools, but it is not Dahab's original taste.
Rooms and amenities were excellent. Very clean. Service was wonderful. Food was average.

There comes a time when the need for investment is urgent. That's the case for the Meridien Dahab. Everything was broken in my 'Superior Seaview Room'. I think that the tap may be leaking since months...Furthermore, the room cleaning is really poor. On my last day, I could not put my feet on the floor any more dirty as it was. And last but not least..the taxi policy is a mystery....if you cab driver is not a friend of the hotel or security personnel, he will not be allowed to enter the zone...be ready to walk or to take the very old golf car.

This the only place in Dahab love to spend my holiday. It is fantastic comfortable place especially for families with kids. Very large sport as well swimming pools. I love to visit this hotel 3 times a year.

Very dirty room and bed sheets are very dirty and furniture is dirty and we found broken glass on the floor and ac is not working as you see on picture it reads E which is error it can never be even a 2 stars hotel and we dont know how meridien let this hotel under their name its a disaster.
