Nice hotel near Aosta bus and train stations
Gene Jon 28/09/2017 15:50My wife and I stayed 2 nights with a secured reservation.
Arriving by the main road from the Autostrada(with our rental car), we parked right at the front entrance. The hotel clerk nodded that it was OK as we handed her our passports. She examined our reservation and handed us our room key, before leading us to our room. Speaking only Italian, she explained the night door, place for our key when out, and provided the secure wifi code.
Our room #210 had a comfortable queen with Ikea furniture; nightstands(with coffee/tea), wardrobe, desk(small tv with no English) and chair, and small table. The nice bathroom had soap/shampoo and a proper glass shower. Double insulated wood windows muted the noisy avenue and provided long mountain views to the south(over the rail tracks and huge metal factory).
We walked 400 meters northwest to the large Carrefour Supermarket, and 400 meters straight north to access the city’s wonderful km long pedestrian ‘Old Town’.
This hotel offers practical lodging with convenient access by car or public transportation.
Simple stay
Kellynn Ton 13/08/2017 12:28Great location beside the train station and bus terminal. Simple accommodation, deco is dated. Service was good and rooms and bathrooms were clean!
They provided luggage storage, and early checkout. Pricing a little too high for the amenities but there weren't any hostels available. Cheapest around the area.
Clean, well located hotel
gottamind2travelon 02/10/2016 18:08Great location - near train station and with guest parking out front. It is just a couple of blocks to the pedestrian-only center. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no breakfast, but you can get a discount at a local cafe (for coffee and croissants). There is also a supermarket a few blocks away - so that can be an option for getting breakfast food as well.
Simple hotel in good location
Ray Gon 16/09/2016 10:47This was just an overnight stay in beautiful Aosta with parking. We parked at the front of the hotel on the main road. Reception was pleasant and provided a map and directions to the main attractions and eateries which were all within a 15 minute walk. This hotel has no lift so issues there for elderly or disabled. We were not offered help with luggage. Room was clean and pleasant but quite noisy being opposite railway sidings and on a main road. Such a pity that the view from our room of the surrounding mountains was marred by two large industrial chimneys. No breakfast available in the hotel but a discount was available at a local bar. Yes, we would probably stay again.
Ok for a stop over
Barry Hon 27/07/2016 14:00Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing to enthuse about. Rooms are clean and well decorated, if a little small and dated. Good location walkable to Roman remains and city centre. Close to railway station. No breakfast but directions to a nice cafe round the corner. Trouble is it cost 80 euros-but this is Italy, the land that chain hotels forgot.I don't think La Pageot would long survive if, say,an Ibis, opened in town, doing the same job but more cheaply
