The hotel is perfect, with friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to David ! His good mood and his wonderful advice about the city of Nice was a big part of this wonderful stay ! ;-) )
The hotel have a quiet elegance, and our room was spotless and very nice. It had a breathtaking view of the city. Only 15 minutes of walk from the centre of town, it is very close to both the Chagall and Matisse museums. And it is really great to stay up on the hill in such an elegant area, away from the smoggy streets downtown. Breakfast on the excellent terasse was one of the best we had on our trip to France.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. From the reviews we were expecting a well maintained property, especially since we paid close to 300 euros a night. When we saw our room, although it had a lovely terrace with a beautiful view, the room itself was beyond disappointing. It was very small but that’s not what bothered us. It needed a complete renovation. The carpets were worn and filthy, the bathroom walls needed to be cleaned and redone with new wallpaper (I think that’s what it was) and the bathtub looked worn and dirty. There was no fan in the bathroom, no coffeemaker, no plugs to recharge technology. The small hallway and cupboard area needs repainting too. We also noticed that the front reception desk was often left unattended with room keys easily accessible to anyone coming in. This was concerning to us.
The one highlight was the friendly service and good suggestions for meals. They were helpful and very willing to make us reservations for dinner. That was very much appreciated.

I would rate this hotel 6 bubbles if I could. I was there on a work trip and had a 2 nights stay. From the second we arrived, we felt like we were home. The staff is incredibly nice and goes the extra mile for anything you ask or even if you don't!
The rooms are very cozy, peaceful and well decorated. Great bed, bathroom ... and that breakfast! Well worth the price when you consider the bad breakfasts you pay for in chain hotels.
On top of that, we were given the best restaurant recommendation for dinner on the first night. And ended up going there twice!
I am very happy I have booked this hotel as I genuinely had a great time and would never stay anywhere else in Nice!

Absolutely quaint, settled within a very quiet part of Nice while very easy to walk to so many attractions. After staying in the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas this was refreshing to arrive after a day's outing. The owner and staff are fantastic. This hotel provides a very 'bed and breakfast' atmosphere while remaining a true hotel. Agree that the breakfast provided is well worth the cost. Our preferred destination stay now when in Nice. Fantastic.

We have been coming to the Petit Palais for many years
This time,renovated rooms,new furniture
,same fine service,and a surprise on breakfast.
Selected breads,a new variety in cheeses and « charcuterie»(plus higher quality in both items)
