Heard about this hotel from my friends, stayed last dec.Stay was good, food sounds expensive, but over all very good place to stay.Most importantly the location
i would love to stay here again with family.Best of luck

Apart from location nothing is good . Servers don't care and also heard from my friends that this is not a safe place for girls late in the night as there are many creeps and servers don't do anything about it
Food is bland and expensive and liquor is costly

This has got a good location. Except that nothing else.
Worst service. Card wasn't working which they never say in advance. They said that by late night and I had to travel to the ATM for this.
They expect everything to be paid by cash.

This property is now called CIRTUS and is take over by this new management. The location is good, just by the beach. The hotel is run-down and needs some renovation. The food is OK but it takes hell of a lot of time to be served. On the whole it was just an average experience

We have stayed there for a night en route to Mahabalipuram. This is a business hotel, though it is 200 mtrs from the Thiruvalluvar beach, but don’t expect a beach resort atmosphere here. The rooms are modern with space and comfort, but you would not get that relaxing feeling, ambience, décor, furniture are all business-travel like. The breakfast menu is standard – nothing much to write about. The dinner is costly and not so great. As we stayed only for a night, we were okay, otherwise, staying another day there would have been painful. The Thiruvalluvar beach, though okay, is not a typical beach, it comes to life in the evening when city crowd come there to enjoy the sea breeze. Throughout the day, there is nothing in the beach, apart from the sea, of course. No shacks/restaurants/bars.
Positive :
• Very good location, only 200 mtrs from beach
• Spacious and comfortable rooms
• Outstanding rooftop swimming pool and deck, offering splendid view of the sea
• Nice ambience in roof top restaurant in the evening
Negative :
• The rooftop restaurant is okay at best, and costly
• The staff are a bit stiff
• Far off from Chennai nerve centres, no eating out places in the vicinity, you would have to have dinner in this hotel only
Overall :
This is okay for stopover stay – not a for leisure trip – apart from swimming pool, there is scarcely anything to do here. Do not get fooled by the rooftop shots, this is not a resort, and don’t expect anything apart from a “room-and-food” kind of stay. Otherwise good for business travelers in the vicinity. There is no good restaurants in the vicinity, so you would end up with dinner inhouse, which is not a very good choice. If you can, take the entrance side rooms in higher floors, you would get a glimpse of the sea from the windows.
