Had to have a late check in and Karen was so hospitable. Lovely big room with en suite - very clean and tidy and a lovely view over the fields and surrounding country side. There were homemade scones and tea ready for our arrival. The breakfast was fantastic. Excellent menu and lots of fresh fruit to try. You are provided with a detailed bespoke "guide book" on arrival. Fully recommended.

The room was one of the largest and loveliest in our entire month of staying in B&Bs -- quiet, and with a very pleasant view over the garden to the fields and beyond. We stayed two nights and would likely have stayed longer if our itinerary had allowed it.
Karen is a wonderful host, with helpful details about the local area. She was accommodating with our vegetarian breakfasts, and it was a nice change to have "eggie bread" (a French toast equivalent) as an option to the usual fare.
We took advantage of the Bowes Art Museum and Durham. both within an easy drive, and there is lots more to see.

Cheery welcome at this Georgian farmhouse, lovely en suite room, clean and homely, with nice touches. Breakfast a delight. Hostess was most helpful. Farm with lambs, ducks and cattle is 5 miles from Barnard Castle. Nice walks, good pubs nearby and amazing skies. I loved it. Even the showers of rain did not put me off.

Quiet and peaceful. Karen is a wonderful hostess. She told us a lot about the local area. The views are magnificent. The breakfast was wonderful. Everything is clean. We'd recommend this B&B. It's close to Barnard Castle where there are plenty of services.

We stayed for one night in this pretty farmhouse in its peaceful location but would love to have stayed longer to explore the beautiful countryside we could see from the windows. Karen is so kind and welcoming and our bedroom was extremely comfortable, she has thought of everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was amazing, absolutely delicious, and we didn't really need to eat again for the rest of the day! We would love to come back again and bring the rest of the family.
