What People are saying

Lovely for a stay

CMurphy89on 12/11/2017 18:40

Really nice location in the center of the town looking out on the river. Was able to get an early check-in after arriving early from an international flight, and the girl at the front desk was more than pleasant for that early in the morning.

Room itself had plenty of space, and was very clean, as was the bathroom. Pretty sure this was a Jury's Inn because it was quite similar to the one I stayed in in Cork City.

Words of wisdom--Try not to get a room facing out on the main-road...can get very noisy in the morning as well as when you're trying to go to sleep.

Very relaxing

I booked this hotel with the intention of taking 24hours off from the world and I wasn't disappointed! I live only 30 mins from Limerick and hadn't stayed in this hotel before. The foyer is gorgeous. The check in staff very polite. The bedroom was warm, spacious, inviting and had a good sized bath which I had a good soak in! The bed was the best hotel bed I've ever slept in! The bar downstairs is large but full of nooks so is quite private. Staff extremely friendly. Food 1st class. Breakfast was great too. The only fault I had with this hotel was that I didn't book a second night!

One night stay in limerick city hotel

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. On arrival the reception staff couldn't have been more helpful, advising about meals, parking etc. Room spotless and big, we had a corner room overlooking the river which was lovely. Bed was fab, solid mattress and lovely pillows, heating in room was lovely, not too hot. Very quiet considering it was busy, we were not disturbed by other guests or outside noise.
However our experience in McGettigans restaruant in the hotel was entirely different.
Had a table booked for 7.30pm didn't get a menu for 15minutes and waited another 15 before order was taken. Staff were tending to bar, serving tables and taking orders, no body seemed to have a defined role. Having ordered we didn't get our food until 8.45. so we were an hour and a quarter from arrival until we ate. A lady came to take our wine order, then and was quite rude saying to us in a most rude manner, after i had told her what we wanted "well what do ye want" as she couldn't get the order right. it was only three glasses of wine two red and one white, so not that difficult. The food when it finally arrived was excellent. But the attitude of the staff and the fact we had to wait so long was very disappointing.

Lovely Hotel

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days with my partner, as we was visiting family in Limerick.

The location of the hotel is very good as it's in town so there's something for everyone to do.

The hotel it's self was very nice, breakfast was decent lots of variety to choose from. The room was very clean and modern, we was only on level 3 and still had a great view of the river Shannon and the city. Mcgettigans which is the pub/bar within the hotel was great both for drinks and food which was lovely.

The staff throughout this hotel all work incredible hard to make sure you have a pleasant stay especially Lauren if you have any questions or request she is the lady to speak to.

We can't wait to return to Limerick to see our family and will most certainly be staying at the Limerick City Hotel.
