Had a wonderful long weekend at The Lincoln. The building is a beautiful stone built building set along a wide tree lined avenue sitting right next to the city park.
My room was large n very comfortable with a fantastic shower. There was very little noise getting into the room no doubt due to the stone walls n thick carpets.
The public areas were spottless wiv all furnishings in keeping with the style of the house.
The breakfast will exceed ur expectations. Everything was fresh and of the best quality and in huge portions. The bacon was the best I have ever had.
The greatest asset is the staff. All were so friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
I am definately going to return!
You have got to be kidding

I agree with the other reviewers that this Hotel is clean and Tidy , however , The size is ridiculous , the room is just big enough for a double bed. I am not kidding. I spent one night there, when your in the room you have to walk sideways . Then the bathroom. You walk in, stop , spin to the left or right , and back up to get out. I am thinking of ringing Norris from the Guinness book of records. This has to be the smallest hotel room ever, I went and had a look in a friends room too, there's was the same. The building is beautiful , as are the grounds . Sorry guys you have spoilt the place by being greedy and cramping too much in.
Excellent value for money

I was actually advised of this hotel by a friend in Switzerland, who told me that the cheap rooms were very small but that the quality was excellent. In reality, the hotel was even better than I expected because it had so much charm in the décor, and it also had some of the best free wifi that I have ever found in a small hotel, since it had a transmitter for each floor.
My single room was "tiny" by the standards of certain countries, but I thought it was great, well decorated and also immaculately clean. It had all of the usual amenities of a London hotel room... electric kettle, packages for hot beverages, etc. The bed was excellent.
Breakfast was amusing, because it had a huge selection of items but a certain penchant for items preferred by the Indian subcontinent. I like those things as well, but it can be a bit strange to eat things like samosas for breakfast (not that it ever stopped me). Not to worry, though: all of the standard English breakfast items were available in profusion.
I found the staff charming, even though I only dealt with them for check-in and check-out. They seemed to be Italian or Greek, which is common for London hotels, and they were very friendly and helpful. I confess that I often stay in hotels like the Ibis or the Novotel when I come to London since I do appreciate the "no surprises" of chain hotels, but this was a delightful exception to my habits. I will gladly return there again if the prices have not ballooned after the renovation.
Great location, friendly staff, just what we were hopin for!

I stayed here for one night with my mum. We didn't want anything special as we would literally only be in the room to sleep! We were ony bothered about the location being near the us embassy as I had an appointment there early in the morning. It was a 10 minute walk and right near Oxford street which was nice! The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was a little dated but don't bother me at all! The room was a cabin double room. Which was a better size then I thought! Tea and coffe facilities was good. Perfect for what we wanted, very clean! Would definitely stay here again!
Charming guesthouse in a fantastic location.

Booked this quaint little guesthouse a couple of years ago, and have recommened it to several. Only a few blocks away from Oxford Street, Hyde Park and the area Marble Arch. The flourist decorations outside in front of the entrance are so beautiful. The rooms are different. My aunt and daughter shared a lovely double room on the first floor, and two cousins and I went all the way to the topp up the windy stairs. Affordable prices. Tea and coffee in our room. Excellent breakfast, although we bought sandwiches at a corner dairy, and ate breakfast in the open in Hyde Park.
Close by are a few nice pubs that serve good pub meals. Tube is also very close, a few blocks away. It is a lovely, little guesthouse in a very nice area. Friendly staff. You cannot get any closer to the best shopping area in London. Will be back !!!
