Why hotels in Lisbon don’t have kettle in the room to make some tea or coffee or water to drink. I don’t mind paying extra. Staff are very good. Rooms are not very clean, sink blocked by hair, no plug for bath until I asked. Pillow protector are yellowish not white, needs washing, under bed is dusty.

We had a junior suite room on the 6th floor. It was very spacious with a large closet and 2 bedrooms with TVs. The bathroom was bit small considering it's for 4 people and the kitchen area was nice and had a few dishes, but only a stove/fridge and no microwave which would have been helpful.
The room needed a table and chairs and it would have been perfect. By the door was an odd shelving unit that was not useful and looked to be a hazard if someone pushed on it since the top and bottom parts were not connected. They should get rid of these shelves and put in a small table.
The kitchen instructions stated that you had to wash the dishes or the hotel would charge 10 Euro. It's hard to wash dishes with no dish soap or towels of any kind. The cups were all very tiny.
The front desk staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions for buses/trains/metro etc...
We rode the Aerobus from the airport and took it back to the airport since it drops off and picks up very close to the hotel.
The hotel location is ideal for the metro or buses. There is a Burger King nearby and some local restaurants. It was a little bit of a walk to a grocery store.
There are 2 small elevators - one a bit newer than the other, but we never had any trouble or waiting time for them. It didn't seem like the hotel was very full.

The hotel is very well located just in front of Parque Eduardo VII. The room 101 is big & very well decorated with a cosy living room. The designed bathroom is clean & neat. Too bad that this double room has twin beds instead of one big.
The service was lousy because they have given us a room on the 6th floor as requested but at the check-in they strikethrough the room number written on the booking in front of us to write down "101" which was all the opposite of what we've asked :

Furthermore it was written "breakfast included" during the booking yet we were willing to pay an extra for the breakfast. Once again the hostess in the morning kept us hanging on enough time to end up saying it wasn't expected despite the fact that we've confirmed this at the check-in. Hence we refused the breakfast really upset & decided to have breakfast for less money with much friendlier people.
The customer remains the boss and an excellent hotel service knows it & knows how to treat people. They must improve this service

Pros:
Hotel is close enough to the entertainment center of the city Bairro Alto and the city center. Great public transportation to every important point of the city. Nice view out of the window on the park and Marques Pombal square.
Rooms are large, functional and have a minimal equipment, even the small fridge for guests' use. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Cons:
Breakfast menu is poor and always the same. Some changes or just wider menu would be appreciated. Room condition is differentiated, keeping clean could be at higher level. Very poor wifi quality. Must use own mobile internet in order to do anything without a risk that the important operation will be broken in progress. Many renovation and building works at the same time are in the hotel so it could be annoying.

Clean enough rooms. Spacious and comfy beds! Nice view from the room of pombal. Very close to attractions and transport which is a plus.
The rooms are out dated and the bathroom is very old looking and smelt a bit. This doesn't bother me though as long as it's clean. Area was nice though and I didn't feel threatened walking back to the hotel past midnight.
Breakfast was average but I loved the croissants! They have a vending machine which sounds stupid to mention but it's handy if you want a cold drink and don't want to go the shop.
Front desk staff are nice and welcoming. Only one major staff issue which was we put the do not disturb sign on and the maid entered anyway. I didn't mind as I was out by then but they didn't even leave fresh toiletries or loo roll which seemed strange.
Not the ritz at all but when visiting for a short time it is decent enough but there are cheap properties near by that are possibly better and not much more expensive so do look around first.
Also, it can be very noisy at night! I don't mind but my friend is a very light sleeper so she had to sleep in a different room, it's a good job they seemed to upgrade us to two rooms or she would not have slept well at all.
