High quality B&B made all the better by its location. Although on the main road between Newport and Yarmouth, the road isn't particularly busy and once ensconced in one of the two beautiful bedrooms, you won't be aware of it at all. We had fabulous views across unspoilt countryside without another house in sight, just fields of horses. At night, badgers came calling for their favourite snack of sugar puffs and to be able to watch them feeding just below our bedroom window was an absolute treat.
The room was well-appointed, very comfortable and beautifully finished and landlady Chloe and her husband Rob deserve a special mention for being so charming, friendly and fun. The breakfasts were awesome - do try the Baked Egg (scrummy!) - and we couldn't have been taken better care of.
This B&B deserves every one of its excellent reviews and we'd happily recommend it to anyone, especially if you like good food and being surrounded by countryside and nature.

We arrived to a warm welcome from the host Chloe, we chatted and were shown to our wonderful room which we couldn't have hoped for better. After spending the evening out we returned to the beautifully clean and wonderfully furnished room with everything we needed, a comfortable bed and soft sheets. After a peaceful sleep, downstairs to breakfast. The choice was excellent, we had the farmhouse breakfast which was delicious and all our needs were met to the highest standard never dropping below excellent. Highly recommended also special mention for the shortbread, very tasty.

Just as in the title. . "Idyllic"- it has lovely surroundings, & although on the main road heading in the direction of Yarmouth, once inside you wouldn't quite realise. We were welcomed with tea & biccys,(this was extremely needed as we'd been up and awake since 0330 travelling/exploring the IOW.) We stayed for two days and each morning woke up to lovely countryside views from our room. The Breakfast was very was scrummy and very filling. Homemade muesli, followed by a cooked breccy with toast, choice of juices/ tea /coffee. This left us setup for the days ahead. Chloe (landlady ) is a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome chatted away to us during our stay. The room we stayed in was roomy but cosy,& the ensuite bath was "wow" !
.. the only thing we note is it that maybe the signage "little idyll" could be made slightly larger /illuminated as it was quite difficult to see in the dark,along with the entrance made slightly larger/wider due to it being on a "sometimes"busy main Road.

We spent four nights in Chloe's guest house and we were truly pampered. If you like luxury and a quality room, this is the place to come. From the moment you walk in you are delighted with the high standard to detail. The room was large with a lovely medium firm mattress and tastefully decorated. Little things like having enough hangers to hang all your clothes - how many times do you start to tidy your suitcase only to find that there are not enough hangers for the two of you. You can tell that Chloe has enjoyed putting it all together. The showers were a delight - in fact brilliant. Breakfasts were huge - you must try Chloe's homemade muesli - really scrummy especially with her berries and yogurt. You leave bursting but set for the day. In fact this place was a real sanctuary. We stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful room and gorgeous copper bath big enough to swim in! Great breakfast by Chloe each morning who is also a great cake maker. Made extra special by being able to watch Badgers feeding in the garden at night.
Its a good base to explore the Island and the room is romantic for that special break.
