We make this choice for its situattion. We saw the good reviews and it is near from the autostrada. Amazing place, lovely staff and the room is perfect, wide, very, very clean, the bed and the blankets are of the best quality. Fully recomended

Great hospitality

We enjoyed a great stay with Ivana and family at Belsole. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really nice comfortable room with all that we needed. The aroma of freshly baked cake and bread scented the hotel in the afternoon and then Ivana invited us and our friends to join fellow guests on the terrace to enjoy local wine and sample some home made goodies before going out for dinner; which was a really nice thing to do. The home baked goods were served for breakfast and were delicious!
Belsole is a really good place to base yourselves whilst exploring the area as the Autostrada is just close by. We would have been happy to stay longer but had accommodation booked at Riomaggiore the next day. We hope that Ivana receives lots of support as she is working very hard for her guests. Thank you.

The owner is very nice, although not speaking English, she provided information about restaurants and what to do in the area. Beds and room itself are very comfortable, although there is no air-conditioning (with 34 degrees outside), the fan did the job. The breakfast is the best one we had in our trip, including croissants, bread, cheese, homemade pastries, drinks, fruits, cakes, ...
The property is 15 minutes drive from Levanto.

Like staying at your friends´ house

It´s a bed & breakfast how it should be, you have a room in a house whose owners are talking to you, are interested in what you are doing etc. It´s not a luxurious hotel, even though the rooms are fine and offer you all the basic comfort you need (wi-fi is fast enough), maybe they are not soundproofed as they could be, so forget too much privacy, it´s really like at your friends´ house.
I found a bit strange the position as it has a small river from one side and roads from two sides being positioned on some crossroads. But it was fine, without any traffic, only that you don´t have any interesting views from your room. There are some places near around where you can eat, so this position also have some advantages.
Regarding the breakfast which is often a problem in Italy, this one is different, the breakfast is solid, not only sweets, the choice is sufficient.

a little slice of heaven

Value, with a capital "V" for visiting Cinque Terre. This a great home base for visiting Cinque Terre. You can save a lot by doing everything yourself, its easy. Gabriel and his Mamma will make you feel like part of the family, Momma makes a fantastic breakfast, all home made and tastes just great! The rooms are quite and clean. This is a small mountain village where the men will still give up a seat for a lady. I saw this at the local watering hole just across the street. The friendship is so thick at this place you could cut it with a knife.

There is bus service next to the hotel that can take you to Levanto, or make the drive if you have a car, its a short trip. Go for the all day rail pass for the train, at 12 euros it's a bargain. Not only can you hop on and off the train at each village all day, but the pass also includes a bus pass. I'm 65 with a couple of bum knees, the bus saved me from the steep walk up the mountain.

(Hint, when you buy the all day pass be sure to have it validated and write your name on the ticket. At the Levanto station, there is a validating machine next to the booth where you but the tickets. A couple of girls sitting across from me on the train didn't know about having their validated and when they showed their tickets to the conductor, they had to buy another ticket of face a 50 euro fine.)

5 stars are not enough to rate this B&B, it's the warmth of Gabriel & Mamma that will make you want to stay here even longer. I feel a little reluctant about telling anyone about this place, the flocks of tourist haven't spoiled this place, it's charm is still intact.

I was thinking about spending another day here, but they were booked up, no surprise there. The GPS coordinates for the hotel are: N. 44⁰ 13' 22.6" by E.9⁰ 43' 13.6" This is one of the best B&B's I've ever visited.
