Good location, needs efforts to reach acceptable services level

With the family (7 adults and 2 children 6 & 9 y.o.), we spent 4 nights in this hotel.
The location is good, the garden is magnificent.

However, we found the Hotel’s rules exasperating:
• while the breakfast was included in the price of the room, only one café/cappuccino was allowed free. Supplementary café/cappuccino was considered as extras and billed. Despite the fact that we were a group of 7 adults (that makes 7 cafés per day or 28 cafés for x 4 nights, the rule of 1 café/guest were applied. Regretfully, this created a conflicting situation

• the pool is beautiful but while toilets (Ladies & Gentlemen) existed at the basement, adjacent to the swimming pool, when asked for we were told to go to our own room…

• the waiter at the breakfast was unfriendly. He seemed disconnected from the guests

• our water was removed from the fridge. A sheet of paper glued to the fridge’s door warned that our belonging would not only be removed but thrown away…

• one evening, we wanted to have a light meal (salad & mozzarella) that was indicated in the hotel’s offer in the room. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to consume that outside the room. Outside, the restaurant’s offering primed

• too many mosquitos

Despite all the above, we enjoyed being there but we strongly felt that with a bit of more flexibility, hospitality and warmth from the hotel’s staff it could have been a much-much better stay.

We were in family few days but we don't had a good moment. We couldn't enjoy our vacations because of several things. The hotel should be rated 3 stars and not 4 stars. I explain why. Employees are really not friendly (for example at the breakfast the waiter was so unfriendly that you day is already damaged...) and rooms are not nice. Avoid standard rooms there are very ugly. Superior a almost correct but very expensive for what you can have in other places. The area is infested with mosquitos we were bitten so much days and nights inside and outside no way to escape !!! If you come before 2pm they don't keep your luggages you have to keep it with you until you check-in. The rooms are also very noisy because of the Air conditioners of other rooms. During the night I felt like in a laundry room. Don't forget you earplugs... You have to take you car if you want to go to the beach or anywhere else cause by foot it's a excursion ...
The only positive point is there is a nice pool but no toilet you have to go back in the room if you need... But after you check out, forget to use the pool it's forbitten...To resume this hotel should get 3 stars and not 4 stars. To avoid if you want to enjoy the area.

Little piece of heaven

Hotel is fabulous felt very zenn like. The rooms are perfect size and we had a bath in our bathroom which we loved. The pool area is so relaxing perfect place to chill during the day. The breakfast was ok good selection of pastries and you can boil your own eggs. Staff are so lovely and make the best coffee 😀 it's a very quite hotel and you really need a car but we found the local bus stop in luni Mari it's only a ten minute walk. The bus brings you to sarzana which is a fantastic little town with lovely shops and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic the food was amazing with fantastic service and such a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short but we will be back in the near future and are already looking forward to it.

Good location, Seventies style

This nice hotel is a great starting point if you want to visit Cinque Terre and surroundings. It was designed by Vico Magistretti in the '70s and it was carefully preserved up to date. If you go there during the warm season you can also enjoy its romantic garden and swimming pool
From there you can reach many nice little places e.g. in the Ameglia area or go streight to La Spezia and jump on a train heading to the wonderful Cinque Terre.

Average place in the middle of nowhere..

Location is not close to cinque terre and is 6 km from closest village with restaurants. Hotel Restaurant is pricy and small menu. Hard beds and door key could be used for other rooms!
Need car for everything - no busses or other public transportation available.
Only plus - the breakfast.
