A decent family run hotel up in the hills. The room we had overlooked the hillside behind the hotel however the sliding door was broken and with a strongly worded note on it saying not to touch it - a shame as we would liked to have sat on the balcony. Breakfast was OK but would highly recommend the restaurant for dinner as it saves you from driving 10 minutes down to the lake for a meal. The restaurant's food was exceptional and dare I say it the best dinner we had in the week on Lake Como in 5 different towns.

We stayed here for one night on our travels. The hotel is up a hilly winding road just outside of the town but the views are amazing from the patio. So peaceful.
The hotel is very 'Rustic ' our room was small but very clean as was the bedding and towels. There was a small safe in the room but the only problem it wasn't drilled to anything so anybody could have taken it away so didn't bother using it....No air con.. We were fortunate it wasn't too hot as it rained heavily but were lucky to have Windows which gave a slight breeze at night. We arrived just after lunch had finished but the girl on duty who was very helpful made us a salad with the usual ham / Cheese platter. It was good. We didn't have dinner there as we were meeting family elsewhere. Breakfast basic. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We were traveling through Lake Como and this hotel was one of the few that had a room available. We stayed in the larger suite upstairs and it had plenty of room for our family. The hotel is a family-run place and is very quaint. Our room was very clean and had a gorgeous balcony with views of the lake. No AC, but we slept with the windows open and it was fine (put on mosquito spray before you go to sleep). We had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant. One of the best we had in Italy, just amazing. Our kids loved running around the grounds of the hotel. We wish we could have stayed much longer! One downside: walls are thin and you can hear doors shutting in the hall, etc. We were not bothered by it, but others may be. Lovely stay and we will return!

We booked 2 double rooms for 3 nights. The place looked charming and good value for money, however the service and staff are below every standard and like someone commented already treat foreigners different to locals. We felt unwelcomed to say the least. The rooms need some renovating, no AC, no mosquito nets, paper thin walls so youxan hear people talking in the next room, below avarege breakfast, ok restaurant... but worst of all was service which is unaccaptable. Would not recommend and would never go back.

This s just a review of the restaurant - I have not stayed there for many years though the hotel was very good then.
Food is of the best quality in the area. Every dish beautifully prepared from local ingredients and nicely presented. The food is though rather rich with an abundance of cream and cheese.
Service is quiet and efficient, friendly if a little formal.
Prices are quite expensive - food nonetheless is good value for money. the extensive wine list of wines from the region is impressive but perhaps overpriced.
