We booked a 6 day/5night trip to CR. We stayed at the hotel 3d/2 nights. Views are terrific of the Volcano from the dining room. Staff is helpful and patient with non-Spanish speakers. Located about a 3 hour drive from San Jose - consider that when booking. Food was excellent, cleaning staff good. Desk staff is very helpful, in particular, Roberto. I would highly recommend the hotel. It us quite hilly, but they have golf carts and I imagine you could call the front desk to have someone take you to/from the room. Many excursions to choose from.

This was our first destination on our 30th Anniversary trip and was our favorite place of the trip! We loved the location, the views and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bungalows were great and very peaceful. We will most definetly come back!

The rooms are actually individual wooden bungalows. Its a lovely site and dining and bars and staff are all good. The rooms are huge and well appointed.
Each has two double beds in it and the bathroom is vast.
It sits comfortably in the environment

This lodge style hotel is set on the slopes of Arsenal Volcano. Despite the great views the volcano is usually shrouded in clouds. The individual lodges are very comfortable with two double beds and good sized bathrooms. The hotel is in the process of building a new restaurant and upgrading the reception ( which currently does not reflect the overall standard of the hotel.

Amazing Place, Great volcano view from my back porch. If this baby blows you'll be one of the 1st to know. Jungle lodge feel but with the touch of a fine hotel and the convenience of a rustic small town (2 minute drive). Very friendly and helpful staff. All activities close by and most tour operators will pick you up at this facility. All rooms are in separate stand-alone buildings. Great breakfast buffet was included, amazing opportunity to try local food. Nice pool and hot tub but not a focus for us. I seriously can't think of any complaint, our stay was above expectation.
