Excellent short break
Graham Ron 16/11/2017 14:10My wife and I went for a relaxing short break away from any worries and thats exactly what we got. The room as always was fantastic really roomy and comfortable, we had taken our two cocker spaniels and as soon as we got to the room we felt settled and our dogs settled down as well. Very warm and cosy rooms, greeted with a complementary sherry, big roomy beds and big windows to see a great view at the back. we love it at Lonsdale hotel and it is really dog friendly where the dogs feel at home and you feel welcome and not at all stressed.The staff are really friendly and helpful, really nice people.The full English Breakfast is outstanding, grapefruit,orange juice, toast and marmalade, full English breakfast (got to recommend the poached eggs) and a cup of tea, amazing and cooked to perfection not a better Breakfast anywhere in the lakes, spot-on amazing. We will be there next year, keep up the good work Lonsdale house team, well done to you all.

Stephanie Son 07/11/2017 10:15We stayed on Sunday night. Hotel looks fantastic great eye for detail. Bed was very creaky and shower very small. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Great location and good distance from shops, restaurants and things to do

TasteBudD186on 06/11/2017 11:24What a friendly hotel!! We decided to take our dog with us, so this is a dog friendly hotel, for one night.
The location is a few minutes walk from the lake. It's a small but exceptionally friendly hotel. The staff couldn't do more.
The breakfast was nice, nothing outstanding and they even gave our dog a sausage.
The room was spacious and the only downside was that the shower cubicle was very small.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Book it! You won't be disappointed.
dottylottyon 04/11/2017 23:58I don't often write reviews but I do read them and I wouldn't take any notice of any of the negative reviews. We have returned from a night at Lonsdale house this week and we would definitely return again. All the staff were very friendly. Andrew was very helpful and great with my little girl and it is very family friendly orientated. Andre also advised us where to go and gave us a map of the area and a timetable of cruise times. We stayed in room 1 which had a double bed and 2 single beds. They were very comfy and there was plenty of room. The bathroom was small but why would you need a big bathroom? ŶMuch rather have the space in the room which this did.
The location was great and a minutes walk to the shops and about 5 minutes to the lake. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you

ch147on 03/11/2017 18:11Recently stayed at the Lonsdale for the 5th consecutive half term holiday with the family. The place remains our favourite place to stay in Bowness as it as everything required for a comfortable stay. Location is very close to lake, shops and bars etc. The breakfast is hearty and plentiful. The little bar downstairs is a nice place to pop in for a quiet one at any time of day. A big mention again to the staff, Andrew the manager along with Pavel, Voichek and Sue to name a few are polite and professional. The place deserves to do well.
