Free Guided Perfumery Tour

Visit France's best perfumery in Grasse, experience a detailed 1 hour tour and learn the process to making perfumes. Our guide was very friendly and interactive. Being Sunday, we were just the 4 of us, still they didn't hesitate to take a small group. Option in Language is also available.

Fragonard is doing a great job in promoting Grasse , the perfume industry and .... Fragonard of coarse . All in good taste . Not too pushy .
The main museum is very interesting . There are guided tours in English every few minutes . The history of the founder's family , and the connection to the painter Fragonard - is also interesting.
If you have decided to spend the 1 - 2 hours in Grasse , see the Musee Fragonard ,
dedicated to the painter and 2 other painters of his generation . Also , pop and peep into the Musee Provancal du Costume et du Bijoux . No entry fees to all of Fragonard museums .
When you get enough Fragonard , have a coffe or a beer and something at Cafe des Musee , right there on the corner facing the Jewelary Museum .
Great little museum

This museum is free and the displays give an outline of Grasse as the city of perfumes. The displays were beautiful and there are also tours through the museum, sadly, we missed them. I do recommend to visit this.
Place for tourists though cool to see machinery used

Stopped in here while passing through and though it was nice to learn the history of how they make their perfumes, it is designed as a tourist trap with everything finishing at the gift shop. Once inside the gift shop, there are multiple tables set up with different scents available in perfume, soap, sachet versions. 8-10 scents but 2 to 3 stations selling same 8-10 scents. It reminds me of the perfumes you find in drug stores but french version of them. You will not see the high end Chanel or Guerlain's here.
If you are in area and have some time to kill, the walk through is free. An english speaking guide to explain everything was no charge but a bit of a wait. To custom make a perfume is charged for in addition to a charge to take your creation with you.
