They have rooms and dorms, the price is average on the location but the dorms are very afordable comparing on the area, so don´t think twice about this place. Also in low season you can talk to the manager and negotiate the price, they where really cool with us, and provide us nive food and acomodation for a good price.

We didn't stay here but booked a deep sea fishing expedition. It was amazing! Boat wasn't what we were expecting but still
Had a great time. Saw huge pods of dolphins, numerous sea turtles, huge jumping eagle rays and not to mention catching over 30 blue fin tuna!! Was an indescribable day, loved every minute!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Got to know the owner Paul very well. He was very welcoming and amazing to spend time with. He showed us all around the beaches and took us on a wonderful fishing trip. Had the best time of my vacation in El Salvador here. You have to come to Los Cóbanos and stay at village lodge !!!!!!!!!! Paul will make your stay worth while and unforgettable! :)

Food is delicious and fresh
And the hotel is just nice to spend the night .
To get to this place very easy just follow goggle maps very safe and a lot police in the area as well army personal to protect the traveler's

This place is a complete nightmare. The place is crawling with 10x more staff, stray dogs, cats, and friends of staff than actual guests. The owner is a complete drunk and total disappointment of a hotel manager. There is dog poop all over the premises, no consistent water, the kitchen is beyond any low level standards of hygiene, tons of sandflies and mosquitos, filthy pool, etc. Our room had never been cleaned and that was evident from the hair stuck all over the ceramic tiles and urine in the toilet. The bed was covered with sand and dead bugs. We didn't have water most of our stay to bathe or flush the toilet. The towels in the room smelled putrid. The food is horrendous, overpriced, and will make you sick. The dogs go in and out of the kitchen to pull the trash all over the floor and patio - revolting. To make matters worse, we only went to go fishing and even that experience was awful. The owner was too belligerent the night before fishing to organize the details which left the staff without any clue of how to handle the situation. We had a departure time of 7am and left at almost 8:15am. However, when we made it past the break, we had to return and wait in the middle of the break (dangerous) for someone to bring us fishing hooks. The trip was supposed to include snacks and drinks, and we only had drinks on board. The boat was small, uncomfortable due to all of the coolers taking away leg space, and had way too many benches. It made it practically impossible to move around the boat to fish. The equipment is extremely old, the line is all tangled, and reeling in even the smallest mahi mahi was difficult. There were only 3 life vests on board and 6 of us on the boat. The captain and helper threw trash overboard (i.e. giant ball of tangled fishing line, plastic bag, and plastic water bottle caps) while we were fishing after we told them incessantly to stop contaminating the ocean. Lastly, the captain never brought us far out enough to blue water to find big mahi mahi. Also, we were trolling for a good 30+ minutes with tangled fishing line and hooks. It was overwhelming disappointing and we left running. If you are interested in going fishing for mahi mahi in Los Cobanos, I highly recommend avoiding this place and fishing with Don Chepe who lives locally and has helped us have an incredible fishing experience in Los Cobanos.
