We wanted a hotel near the airport but also near the town and this was ideal
A friendly welcome from the owner and his wife who helped us up the many stairs to the reception with our heavy luggage after we had been on a cruise for 12 days
The area is very residential and friendly plus it was great that very Italian plus non tourist .
I loved the nearby bar with only us tourists in there as no rip off prices as in some parts of the City
This hotel was the ex residence of the owners parents who also own the slightly further away Louis2 which apparently has a garden and run by the father
The entry area has lovely Louis style chairs and furniture and one can sit there to use wi fi
There aren't any other facilities except the bedroom to sit in so really not for long term but the price was excellent at 58 euros for a twin room ( one double and one single )

If fit one can walk to station but the taxi was only 15 euro from airport so recommended if with heavy luggage
There isn't a lift here so if elderly not ideal but if young and fit ok
The station is excellent for going into central Rome and at only 1 euro 50 cents a bargain on a great three tier train but avoid peak times as can get crowded
Straight into the large Roma main station which has excellent connections by metro or other trains
We were warned about pick pockets in central Rome but saw nothing to worry about and plenty of security around
There was no sign of any pick pockets in the town where the hotel is and I found it very friendly and safe here but not up market area like parts of Rome

The Hotel Louis is nice and cosy. You can walk to and from Ciampino railway station. Very Convenient location for late arrivals at Ciampino airport. Check-in is possibile up to midnight. The only down side is that breakfast is not included but there is a cafe in the main square, where we had a nice Italian breakfast. We liked Staying at this hotel and it was value for money.

Our visit to this hotel was by pure accident. We had missed our flight and we had messed up. We were desperate and this was the 2nd hotel we rang. From the moment we spoke to the staff on the phone we knew they were happy to accommodate and this was our choice.
I give this 4 stars not because of the room service, I cannot comment on that, me and my partner were only there for roughly 8 hours. Not for the price either. In truth, they could have charged us anything, we were desperate so 60 Euro's it was.
I give this 4 stars for the absolute integrity of the man behind the desk that night. Our re-scheduled flight was for 6:35am and he did not get up until 6am. He left the doors unlocked, booked a taxi that arrived on time at 4am outside the building and his actions on looking after our wellbeing played a huge part in getting us home.
I would like to personally thank him firstly for his telephone manner which made the hotel a must and then for his integrity as a host. I must apologise for leaving my bust up shoes in the bin at the end of the stay. I am so sorry for that but I had no use for them and we were worried about luggage allowance.
From what I saw, If you are on a cheap holiday and are a smoker then this is perfect for you. If you do not smoke then I would not go here. The staff that I saw are brilliant. That's why I give it a 4 stars.

Very friendly environment, very nice people who manage the business (probably family business) , very clean and comfortable room , discretion and lovely kind manners ....I booked a 4 days permanent with double bed room but my girlfriend join me the day after, so the management make me pay the first night as a single room but staying in a double. ..so lovely....I will definitely return here for the service and for the very good ones and affordable prices ...thanx Alex :D

Stayed here for 4 nights with work during June 2014.
Hotel is just like a flat in a building with a few bedrooms in it, not my idea of somewhere nice to stay. No facilities for breakfast. Bedrooms okay, they have aircon. Bathrooms very small. Clean rooms. Ciampino as a town I was not impressed with at all and would not return unless for work.
