Four motorcyclists of mature age arrived on each of their steeds to a warm welcome from Matthew and Cissie. During our 3 night stay, they gave advice, dried our suits, fed us well and entertained us with mutual information. Local knowledge was imparted to assist in our quest to ride The Grossglockner Pass, also to take the best route on the start of our return journey through Germany. The hotel is huge and yet has an intimate feel about it. Parking was open or undercover. Nothing left to want. The village setting is beautiful and interesting to explore.

Warning for this hotel. We book 3 double rooms in Hotels.com 3 days before our arrived date. We didn't want The room in the villa/annex, we chose The doubleroom in the hotel. But when we arrived the lady ask us if we had booked thru Hotels.com. We said Yes and then got the answer that no room in the hotel was available and she sent us to the villa/annex. The 3 rooms we got was not even close to what we had booked. Summary; This hotel use a false advertisment that decieved us and led us to believe it was a good hotel.

We stopped here to have a snack before our journey to Grossglockner.
We sat by the river.
Good servive by the Two sisters running the restaurant.
Salads were of good quality.
One of the ladies was too k8nd to tell us about the trail when we asked her for directions.

So good things first. We got a very big room suitable for 4 persons. Bathroom was very nicely renovated and the whole room was clean. But I wonder did they even know about our arrival as the welcome was like that. I also felt bothering somebody's good working day when visiting the reception later on. Breakfast ok and I kind of like old buildings that are well maintained. Need to start a diet as the old sofa broke under me when sitting on it. :-) But probably I would not come here again. The final reason might be that they tried to add extra charges during the checkout. Luckily we had the original e-mail from the booking service.

The Internet: EUR 2 per day!
Two nights awakened at 3am Czech guests!
At the bar, smoking cigarettes!
Positive:
Breakfast and dinner are delicious and plentiful. The waiters are helpful.
The rooms are clean, good size.
Overall, we had fun. I recommend.
